Any other vegetarians craving carbs all the time? I constantly crave oatmeal, bran, air popped pop corn, you know all the healthy carbs which is good. I am getting like 40-50 grams of protein a day and eat plenty of veggies. And I am 5'7" and 110.5 lbs so I don't know why. Is there any vitamin I am missing from my diet?

I do not believe in some god given right to eat animals, I believe in practicality.

Did you know that every time you wash your hands and your dishes, or the many other surfaces of your home to make yourself safe, you are killing billions of living creatures? Did you know that plants feel fear when they are watered? In all practicality it is impossible to exist without killing other creatures. Your mucus alone is responsible for billions of microbiological deaths, so what you need to realize is that fighting against survival is not the way to exist, improving your existence so that you do not need to kill more creatures is the better way.
Your best bet to stop having to kill to live would be to support the innovation of technology until we are capable of creating technology that assembles the food we eat from inorganic materials such as nutrients and vitamins, and advance it enough so that it tastes like anything we want it to.

Folks, recently I have asked some questions which expose the meat eaters for what they are, a moraless group of people who have no reguard for the life of innocent animal beings. This moraless group feels that it is necessary to post questions asking stuff like, "What's the quickest way to cook salmon?". The meat eaters responsible for this know that it is going to get a rise out of vegeterians and vegans This is why they place the banner so that it is viewable from the Vegetarian and Vegan category.

I encourage each and every vegetarian and vegan to continue to stand for justice. Do not be discouraged by these cowardly meat eaters who post in our section.

Are they going insane? No...j/k. But yeah...why? They don't eat, breathe, live, work like WE, the animals and humans do.

Going to a vegan/veggie party this weekend.
Have any good ideas?
A vegan 7-layer dip, or a good vegan dessert? I myself am not veggie/vegan, but used to be, and know how annoying it can be going to a party where all there is to eat is celery. I'll consider anything, but am really looking for a recipie that you've tried before, and really loved :)

Thanks

As a veggie of nearly 15 years I'm finding it really annoying how I keep discovering that certain random foods contain animal products and I didn't even realise.

I only discovered that some cheese and white wines aren't OK a long time after I gave up meat. In the supermarket the other day I was looking at the nutritional chart for a chocolate pudding, only to see beef extract in the ingredients list!

This is really annoying, I read a lot of labels but there are some I just wouldn't even think to look at, plus not all animal products are obvious in their naming.

A lot of my vegetarian friends worry about this too so I thought I'd ask if people could share their discoveries of certain things that people might not realise are non-veggie friendly?
