I like to take some butter or marjarine and cover the yams with it and cinamin and sugar, and rap the covered and sprinkled yams in tin foil then put them on the grill on low heat for about 1-2 hours till soft unrap then heat ... oh man are they good after that...

another good way is to cut them in small slivers put vedge oil in a wok heat till sizzle dump all the slivers of yam in the oil **** until golden brown then add brown sugar and carmelize and serve.. with a small amount of maple sirup.

peel the yams and cut into very thin circles, as thin as you can get them, heat a skillet up and add a small amount of oil place slices in oil and cook a couple of minutes then flip and cook (or fry) the other side. Remove from skillet and drain on paper towels. Fry remaining slices and dust all lightly with sugar while still warm.

Bake them in the microwave just like a baked potato.
Another way I love is to peel them, slice them about 1/4 " thick. Spray a baking pan with Pam, put on the slices, spray them lightly with Pam, and salt them a little. Bake at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes until they're tender....Yummy! and Easy!
