When I was a little kid I loved raw potato's. The key with spuds is that they absolutely must be fully ripe if you are to eat them raw. Green potato contains arsnic (or cyanide, not sure now) so never eat them. Even if it's just a tint to the skin, this poison will accumulate in your body with growing toxicity.
For the record, the taste is just strong starch and not very appetising. Over all, you might do it for the vitamins I suppose, but make sure the potato is fully ripe and, please, don't invite me for dinner

Sure! I used to do it all the time as a kid. I've gotten away from the habit, but I still love the crunch of a raw potato!

Yes, but don't eat ones that are Green (ie have been exposed to the sun whilst growing or in storage).
The green part will taste bitter and may cause upset stomach.

The green part should be removed and these potatoes can then be used in cooking with no problem

Eating raw potatoes is fine but why would you want to? Bake some, they taste so much better.
