The Sainsbury's question on this category was asking 'What's the best pork dish that you've ever tried'...

I see - I guess that someone has to pay for this site...

But it is clearly not down to Sainsbury's.... It is just Yahoo taking on banners (as you do) but then just putting things down willy-nilly.

So -YAHOO - if you're listening... try to be a little more sensitive about what you put on the pages... make it relevant. Make it all mean something. It clearly does for many of us!!

OK, I just posted an apology on that question. The reason I answered it is because it shows up as Home > Food & Drink > Cooking & Recipes. I didn't realize that it had been posted under Vegetarian & Vegan, or I would never have answered it.

What the person did was inappropriate and insensitive. I'm sorry for inadvertantly offending all the vegetarians and vegans here. I think you guys are great in your concern for animals and the planet.

Edit:

Was that question recently moved to the right section? If so, I know what happened. It was 3 AM last night when I answered it, and I first saw it on the Home page of new questions. I was sleepy, and I obviously paid no attention to the category it was under.

No excuses -- just an explanation. :-(

Yep, they really know how to look after the veggie market.

Its an advert. You may notice Sainsbury's have got 900 points but have never answered a question. Its just Yahoo using it as a marketing banner and sellign it to Sainsbury.

What I did was go into the question and tell them to get it out of veggie area, tell then its having a negative impact etc. I've also written to sainburys customer care to tell them what a mess they are.

Did you know Sainsburys are stopping labelling many things veggie as a cost cutting exercise ( go on, phone thier customer care and ask for a list of thier veggie stuff - they'll tell you )

I guess they can't be bothered tracking the ingredients in thier products. Thats a bit worrying for meat and veggie eaters alike,

Short sighted me thinks,

MisKeny: Not sure if you're agreeing or disagreeing with me, i didn't mean to offend if I have. I agree with your statements though,

Sainsbury, like all the meat eaters with out morals who post in the Vegetarian & Vegan area, are just looking to upset vegetarians and/or vegans. When they are not eating innocent animal beings, they like to attack those who may show compassion for animal beings.

Well at lest they asked a question, yours seems to be more of a statement, anyway I know veggies that used to eat meat so perhaps they would like to let people know what the best pork dish was they had before they went veggie?

Good point. Bad advertising for Sainsbury's.

PEOPLE IT'S A COMPANY NOT A PERSON. So many answers show some don't know what Sainsbury's is.

Don't let it bother you. He or she was just trying to get the vegetarians/vegans all riled up. What that person doesn't realize is that posting questions about pork, beef, fish, ect. isn't going to make anyone lose any sleep because quite honestly, nobody cares if that person chooses to contaminate his or her body with bloody flesh-at least I know I don't.

RE---Micheal H ------ and have you heard that the super markets are sneaking GM products onto their shelves and they are not labelled and they never point out they side effects of additives either i`m not a very strict vegetarian although i`m not a meat eater but i do believe we are all entitled to know EXACTLY what were eating and drinking .

Some people don't pay attention to what category they put their question in and some do it on purpose just to get a rise out of people. Don't worry about it.
