Making a cake, and the egg carton has 'Dec 17' marked on it.

Does this mean I can't use them this late, or more that that's a 'best if used by' date, and for a cake mix it wouldn't matter all that much? thanks-

I have the Hershey's Kisses fondue pot set and it did not come with any recipes! Has anyone used one? Or know of websites where I can find recipes?

Also, (this may sound dumb), but is it only meant for chocolate or can you do cheese too?

Thanks! And Happy New Year!!

I bought a Duncan Hines moist deluxe cake mix, and box instructions tell me baking temperatures for; metal, glass, dark or coated pans, but I'm not sure about an aluminum pan.

It's light weight and pliable, one of those disposable pans, not sure it's durable enough to warrant being deemed a 'metal' pan.

Do you know for sure what to classify this pan as, and which temperature to bake cake at?

Thanks

I forgot to buy plain yogurt, and have already begun the process of making hummus. This is a Jordannian style hummus that calls for plain yogurt.

What do you think, will it be gross with sour cream in place of yogurt?

I don't care for the gelatin, custard or whip cream type toppings. I am looking for something that I can serve with or pour onto it. I have on hand a bag each of frozen strawberries, and blueberries. I also have lemon juice available. Does anyone have any ideas. I was thinking about a glaze, but was hoping for something a little more creative. The cake that I am topping was made with lemon extract. Thanks and Happy New Year!

Half the week I am at my dad's house & the other half I am at my mom's. At my dad's house my step-mom always cooks dinner for us. For the last couple of years, my mom has stopped cooking and just heats a TV dinner, picks up something at a food place, or orders something. I am also a vegetarian, so my options are limited.

I am pretty sick of having dinner consist of just Ramen Noodles, Mac n' Cheese, Peanut Butter & Banana, or a TV dinner. So, what are some good ideas that I could make for myself at the store, and that are healthier? I don't have a lot of time to cook, but I am willing to cook for myself! =]

I love squash, broccoli, carrots, cucumber, and any fruits! =]

Thanks for all the help! =D

I would like a set of three if possible. I've tried all the major kitchen stores. There are some that are clear with grapes or apples or roosters or wine bottles painted on them.

I am seeking suggestions on how to add more variety to my soon-to-be-1-yr old daughter's culinary experience! I don't want to stay in a rut of feeding her the same foods. Whenever i can i try to have her join in with whatever her dad and I are eating but it's not always good for her to eat. On those days it would be great to have some simple meal ideas to whip up for her so if anyone can suggest a recipe that's not TOO elaborate (even if you think it is too simple to mention!) i would very much appreciate the inspiration!

We have ground goat meat pressed into patties. We also have many pounds of other cuts. This is the gift of Rutgers University, which raises goats in its agricultural school, and tries to popularize goat meat. We have recipes for lamb. Does any one understand goat?

I have some very ripe bananas that I would normally use to make banana bread BUT my oven happens to be broken... I do not have an ice cream maker either, so banana ice cream is out..... Would you have any recipes that use bananas that does not require baking?? Thanks in advance!!!

Hey everyone! I am looking for a really good ranch dressing. I used to swear by Hidden Valley, but now everytime I eat it, it just makes me disgusted, it tastes spoiled or something. Anyway, I would like something that is similar to that of your typical restaraunt ranch dressing, that seems to be the only kind I like anymore. If anyone has some good recipes or if you know of a bottle that tastes as good as restaraunt ranch I would greatly appreciate it!
