I am seeking suggestions on how to add more variety to my soon-to-be-1-yr old daughter's culinary experience! I don't want to stay in a rut of feeding her the same foods. Whenever i can i try to have her join in with whatever her dad and I are eating but it's not always good for her to eat. On those days it would be great to have some simple meal ideas to whip up for her so if anyone can suggest a recipe that's not TOO elaborate (even if you think it is too simple to mention!) i would very much appreciate the inspiration!

What do you eat that a 12 month old cnanot eat?! If it's fried, peel the crust off and give it to her, chopped really well.

On nights y'all do eat healthy (better start doing that more often w/ a child coming along learning food habits), prepare extra and freeze leftovers into small zipper bags and label. Then you can nuke and warm her up some grilled chicken or green beans or whatever you're having.

Usually at this age, they love to feed themselves, but usually can't fill up on what they can get to their mouths. So you'll need to supplement a bite of food for her about every 3-4 of hers. Give her things like bits of green beans, corn kernels, of course Cheerios! (yellow box), soft fruit, soft pasta, tomato w/o skin, avocado, you name it.

Mashed potato, corn, peas and carrots (wonderful finger food and fun for the diner to mix it all up if she so desires.

Little chunks of meat as well as hot dogs.

Spaghetti and macaroni dishes.

Just easy stuff so you all can enjoy your meal together - don't stress. Enjoy her company.

I am glad I read the whole question.
At first I thought you wanted to cook one.
Then I thought you wanted to teach a 12 month old to cook.
Good thing I read on.
I 0nly have a couple for cooking one. You probably would not like it.
