I forgot to buy plain yogurt, and have already begun the process of making hummus. This is a Jordannian style hummus that calls for plain yogurt.

What do you think, will it be gross with sour cream in place of yogurt?

I got the recipee from my Jordannian friends. They use sour cream in EVERYTHING! They're sour cream freaks, and they specified plain yogurt for this so thats why i'm skeptical of putting sour cream. I think if it would have worked they'd have try it.

Yes it will be gross. I know how to make the Lebanese style hummus, but I didn't know the Jordannian style called for plain yogurt. I mean you can try it, but I think it will be gross with sour cream.

Should be good. Plain yogurt is a lowfat sub for sour cream in many recipes, so why not the other way around?
