In Kansas, 1kg (about 2 pounds) of Cod costs about $15. Red Snapper is higher, about $20. Catfish is farm grown locally. You can get 2lbs for $5. My favorite is Halibut, about $25 for 2lbs. We have lots of beef. Will trade.

My brother works in the food industry and has given me so much chicken this month that I'm at a loss on what kinds of different meals I can make with it each night. I've already made: chicken parmesan, chicken quesadillas, chicken and stuffing, chicken nachos, and chicken salad sandwiches... Any other dinner or lunch ideas?

I am looking to make petit four cakes and am wondering what the best pan and quantity of cake mix (boxed Dunacn Hines or such) would be to have a uniform thin layer of cake, and approx how long to bake it. I would be looking to make each layer approx 1/4 think I guess
Thanks

In my area, women care about family meals. And almost everytihng is homemade. That's ok because homemade food is healthier, but as a woman, when you have a fulltime job or two jobs... you don't want to come home in the evening and start cooking.
There are short-time variants of cooking (most of them based on frying and I avoid this technique), but we use to eat especially cooked food, in pans on a gase fire and so on an so on... To cook a meat soup, for example, I need at least 2 hours. And my family doesn't eat it more than twice.
Is there a posibility to save some time and to eat something healthy, fresh and warm? To eat in a restaurant daily is not an option for us, neither to buy something ready-made from supermarket.
What's your habit, guys? What do you eat in the evening?

I'm from the UK where American biscuits are basically English scones. Now I can't imagine, (for the life of me!) that scones & thick gravy could taste nice.

Please explain? I can't get my head round it!

I know it's totally unhealthy for me but I'm obsessed with this stuff... plus it's cheap. How can I spice instant ramen up? I was thinking about cracking an egg into it... any other ideas?

I know what I am having for the main course - Belly Pork slow cooked with all the trimmings. But I am not sure whether to have a pudding as we will probably stuff into the kids selection boxes and chocolates. I am quite good at making Pavlova and not sure whether to make one this year.

What will you guys be having for started, dinner and pudding?

Okay! So! Hi, I'm Sam, and I'm trying to get into the whole Japanese style eating and stuffies, so perhaps some of you guys can help me:
I'm getting a bento box soon, I know how to use chopsticks, and all that good stuff.
I even have this little rice ball maker that makes the original triangular shape rice balls, which I thought was super cool.
Anyways!
I need to know: Is american white rice the same as the Japanese sticky rice?

Please help!

Also, if you know of any food sites on what to make for a Japanese style lunch, then please do list them! If you know any recipies yourself, then also list a few if you could! Anything there is to making everything cute and traditional at the same time, tell me, I'm dying to know. <---(No, not really dying... )

Anyways, thanks for any help,
~!~Sam~!~

What is it made of, are any of those ingredients bad for you, and why does it seem to matter if the vanilla is heated versus stirred into something prepared and served cold?

This is my grandma's favorite drink, it's great!

It's a cup of regular milk, a spoonful of sugar, and a spoonful of vanilla. It's great! Does it sound good? :)

My roast never comes out juicy. Is always dry. I always look for info on the net, but so far, it did not work. Do you know of something that I should know?
Also, what is the cut of beef used for store bought roast beef?
