My Father cannot eat rich foods-like curries or chinese, and my Mother is against food additives. Is there a way of flavouring simple meals with natural, basic flavour?

I love pasta. And I actually love tomato sauces, but unfortunately not everyone else in my family does. So, please share your favorite non-tomato pasta sauces.

Alcohol-free too, please.

I mixed rotisserie chicken with rice today for dinner. I have plenty of leftovers and wanted something to do with them.

Do you think if i added cream of mushroom to this it would make a good inside to chicken pot pie? any suggestions for other additions?

Also- i have a leftover puff pastry from thanksigiving- could i use that instead of pie crust? how would i use it? On top? bottom? or both?

Sorry for all the questions- im trying to get rid of leftovers haha!

I have a tray of chicken tetrazzini in the freezer that my friend made when she visited. It's made with chicken, cream of ch. soup, cheese, and spaghetti.
I usually prefer more flavorful food and somewhat spicy, so is there anything I can add to it?

I bought mushrooms almost two weeks ago and kept them in the fridge. They look okay, I'm not sure how they should smell but they don't smell really bad. And they were dry the whole time. They are bigger mushrooms although I forget what they're called... two inches long. Can I use them???

I was canning for the first time and decided to make jalapeno jelly but it never set. The recipe I used wasn't very specific, i.e. it didn't say whether to drain the can of jalapeno's or not, and boiling times weren't listed. I thought I followed the recipe, I suppose I could have boiled it a bit longer. Is is possible to empty to contents back into the pan, add another pack of liquid pectin and re-can (new lids of course)? If the ingredients will help they are as follows 3 bell peppers minced, 2 (4oz) cans jalapenos, 6 1/2 cups sugar, 1 1/2 cups distilled wht vineager, 1/2 tsp cayanne, 1 (6oz) pack liquid pectin, and 5 drops green food coloring. These were to be gifts and I'd prefer to give jelly not green syrup. Thanks for any help.

I want to cook something simple and easy for my girlfriend, we got into a fight and I want to make it up by having a late night dinner ready for her when she gets off. She is not a picky eater, I just want it to be simple, yet something to show that I did put some effort into it! Thanks in advance!!

It was in the Holiday issue around Thanksgiving in the 80s
Yeah I know, long time ago but I daughter will not stop raving about it so I must find it and make it for her birthday.
Thanks
