My grandma made me a custard pie on Wednesday night, before Thanksgiving...I was wondering how long it will last? It has been in the refrigerator with plastic on top. Is it okay to eat?

I need something that isn't too expensive, doesn't take more than an hour, and can feed 5 people.

Kudos to suggestions with garlic!

I have raw chicken, seasoned for fajitas, an onion and a green bell pepper. Should I throw them all into the skillet at once or should I cook the chicken a bit first and add the vegetables after a certain amount of time?

Clue: Workers in the food service work hard to prepare and serve appetizing and tasty meals. It is important to understand their customers are satisfied and their point of view regarding what they cook for them.Because cooks prepare meals that they believe acceptable. think that you are working in a Hospital or in a Nursing Home. Or, think you are a patient/ resident there.

What is the best brand for a utlity knife? I don't want anything ultra cheap but I do not want to spend more than say $50 or so either. (After all it is only a utlity knife.)

Normally I buy Wusthof or Shun but those are just too costly for a utlity knife. (Although both excellent for other purposes. Not to mention well worth the cost.)

I have four pie pumpkins, two I bought in the beginning of October and two I bought right after Halloween. I have a very busy schedule and Ive been meaning to make pumpkin pie, but Im worried the pumpkins will go bad! Will the pumpkins go bad after this long? DO you think they are bad by now? How can I tell when they go bad before opening them?

Does my pie have to be refridgerated after baking or can I leave it on the counter with it being covered with either foil or plastic wrap. The only thing that is in it that came from the fridge was butter. No eggs, no milk, or anything of that nature. Thanks ahead of time.
