As long as you shape those cookies into masculine shapes, it's ok ----lol
I collect cookbooks (I have 800+) and enjoy baking and cooking. And, I still watch football and like girls to boot.

It isn't weird at all. I think in many ways the most scientific cooking involves baking. Mathematical precision is required to produce a good product but baking also offers tremendous opportunities to let your creative side shine.
It has only been in the last century that women have garnered much fame as chefs and some of the finest pastry chefs in the world are men - Jacques Torres, Gaston Lenotre.
Poilane was famous all over the world for his bread. I don't think any of these men think or thought of themselves as less manly because of their craft but you can be assured that they did and do think of themselves as successful.
I think the most successful people in the world find a way to make their work the thing that they love.
If you are going to be a baker be the very best you can be.

Good question. Simple answer, no, it's perfectly normal and actually it is a talent that many men have but few like to express. I love to cook and bake (since I was 6 years old but 23 now); I have to admit that when I bake I have to look at a cookbook, lol. It's cool when men cook because it shows that they really care about what their doing and want someone else to care too. there are lots of scholarships out there and culinary school you can apply to as you get older if you decide to pursue this as a profession. I was going to attend Texas Culinary Academy, but due to financial problems, I couldn't go. that's cool, because I am going to pursue my dream and I think that this might be something you could consider, even if it's in a restaurant or a small cafe/diner. Believe me, if you are very passionate about this, then by all means pursue it and please don't let anyone tell you different because to me it looks like you have a gift and you should share it with as many people as you can. Hope this helps you out and keep baking.

heck no... i started baking when i was ! Started with packaged brownies, moved on to cookies (yes even pink fluffy girly ones) and other pastries and was making pies and cakes for family parties by the time i was 14. Actually, i am the only one who bakes now as my wife can't cook anything.
Most pastry chefs are also male. Ever heard of Jacques Torres? Look him up...

The culinary world is based on mostly male chefs. Do not be embarassed. Many men are great culinary chefs and not only that but girls love when you can cook so its a great bonus. If it appeals to you, a lot of PUBLIC high schools have some really nice culinary classes for those persuing culinary interests or for those who just like cooking and want to learn more about it.

No, not at all. Not only do lots of guys cook but the ones who don't I feel quite sorry for. They can snicker all they like, but you're the one that'll be able to make yourself good food while they'll be stuck eating boxes of mac & cheese 3 times a day when they move out. Not only that, but the chicks will love that you can make them a tasty meal. Cooking and baking for yourself is also a great way to safe cash and eat better quality food.
You're set buddy, don't let some goobers ruin it for you.

No, it's not weird. Not one bit. Do you enjoy baking? Do people enjoy your cookies? If the answer to these two questions is "yes," then just keep on truckin'!
I'm 56 years old and dig baking a lot (in fact, all cooking!).
Just one thing . . . I didn't know that there are such things as "girly" cookies. Phooey! Dump that dumb idea ASAP.

Nah, you may have the makings of a great pastry chef or more.
I love cooking and baking and I've been doing it since I was your age: this is an art form that few can do; if you enjoy it, keep going.
Plus, dude, girls love a guy who can cook!

I don't think it's weird at all. In fact, a lot of the best pastry chefs are male! My brother isn't a chef, but he probably bakes as much as I do and does better than I do on pie crusts (but I'm better on cakes and cookies than he is!).
