My mom got this from a friend of hers who is Spanish and my mom is Portuguese but I have no clue where her friend got it from. Anyway we make it as appetizers every year for Thanksgiving since I was little and I love them they are so good!!! But we just call them hors d'ourves so I was wondering if anyone could tell me the name?

You buy Pillsbury cresent rolls, unroll the dough into the rectangle (don't break up into triangles) and you spread cream cheese, bacon bits, (fried bacon chopped up) and chopped onions on the dough, then roll it up and refrigerate. The next day you chop them up into little circles, sprinkle parmasean cheese on them, and cook them in the oven. Don't remember for how long. Then let them cool and serve. So damn good!

Anyone one know the name?

Like, I am REALLY craving icing right now and I just want to make a small amount for myself to eat with a spoon. I don't want it to be like a watery glaze icing or anything, just normal vanilla icing. I think I might put it on graham crackers.

I made home made pancakes this morning. here is the recipe:

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon white sugar
1 1/4 cups milk
1 egg
3 tablespoons butter, melted

Ok, my question is, why didn't they come out fluffy? What can I do to make them fluffy? they tasted great but they were flat. My baking powder is old, could that be it?

Please check back for added comments after you answer for more info.

Sup?
So I'm at university and the food is the worst thing I've ever tasted. Not only is it disgusting but it's usually covered in fat/oil.
I'm getting sick of having hotcereal and noodles and salad too.
Please.
Give me some simple recipes that I could easily and cheaply do at university.
CATCH: our university decided at 18 we weren't responsible enough to use a stove/oven. We are only allowed a microwave.

I generally dislike the follow things as well: olives, mushrooms, shellfish (allergic).

Kay? Got that?
Microwave (if necessary) - simple - easy.
No salads. Or sandwiches - I eat them 2 times a day as it is.
Thanks in advance guys. 10 points the best response.

I have a 23 month old (almost 2) little brother. I love to bake, and I would love to have him help me. Does anybody know of some recipes that he could help me make. These recipes can be home-made candy, desserts, lunch, dinner, breakfast, snacks, anything. Things I don NOT want are PB&J, Grilled Cheese, things like that. I DON'T want to make something like a sandwich. Keep in mind he is only 2. Thank you for all your help. Links and/or recipes are appreciated.

Is there anything I can add to take away some of the hotness? I've heard that you can add a potato to stuff if it is too salty will this work for spiciness also?

It just seems to me that if someone is a former chef, he or she ought to present some kind of credentials, don't you? I know that if a real live former chef told me, "Don't peel onions," I would be inclined to not peel them. But even I can say, "Well, look, I'm a former chef, so do it my way." Am I just being to picky, or is there some element of truth to this? Hey, if I'm out of line say so. This is a real question. I want to do the right thing.
