I am not sure what to serve for dessert on Christmas Day.
I don't like traditional christmas pudding or things with dried fruit and I am looking for something light.
Thanks for your help

Is the sugar type (brown vs. white), the fat type (butter vs. margarine vs shortening) or something else the cause of differences between them? I want to make cookies that, like, say, Mrs. Fields' store cookies, bake soft, and stay that way. I'm wondering what the chemistry is that goes on to make cookies cook soft or hard. Thanks!

I was looking into recipies for chocolate chip cookies and some recipe calls for 2 1/4 cups while others would have 3 cups. The rest of the ingredients doesn't differ much. Hence I'm wondering what would adding more flour do to the cookie? Thanks for your information.

Thank you!

I've decided to make a really good hot chili for dinner tonight, and want to make a great cornbread to go with it...

I've never tasted cornbread (I live in New Zealand and we don't really have it here) so I want to make it a *great* one

Any suggestions on the best recipe please?

(keeping in mind that we won't have the same baking mixes as the rest of the world so can't include them)

thanks :)

What do I need so I do not over cook it. It is my first time cooking it and I want to make sure it comes out moist.

I usually only cook and eat fish and chicken and last time I cooked a steak for someone it was over cooked and not so great.

Any recipes or sites recommended would be appreciated.

Thanks.
