Sup?
So I'm at university and the food is the worst thing I've ever tasted. Not only is it disgusting but it's usually covered in fat/oil.
I'm getting sick of having hotcereal and noodles and salad too.
Please.
Give me some simple recipes that I could easily and cheaply do at university.
CATCH: our university decided at 18 we weren't responsible enough to use a stove/oven. We are only allowed a microwave.
I generally dislike the follow things as well: olives, mushrooms, shellfish (allergic).
Kay? Got that?
Microwave (if necessary) - simple - easy.
No salads. Or sandwiches - I eat them 2 times a day as it is.
Thanks in advance guys. 10 points the best response.

Sorry - to clarify.
It is against school policy to have any heating elements in our room. We are not allowed slow-cookers, sandwich presses, hotplates, geore foremans, electric kettles (but our kitchenette has one). This is strictly enforced.

Ok, I got you on this one. I was at a school were microwaves were not even allowed in dorm rooms. I have enclosed a few sites that offer cheap and easy to make recipes for good food. With already made meals like "Hamburger Helper" and others you can keep it cheap without relying on noodles and pop tarts alone.
Quick exerpt: Robyn's Grandma Gooch's Fried Bologna Sandwich:
Cut one slit in each piece of bologna, from the center to the outside. This keeps the bologna from bubbling while frying. Place bologna slices in a frying pan (sprinkle pan with salt to keep meat from sticking). Fry until brown and half-crispy. Place bologna on your favorite bread. Add mayo (lettuce, tomato, etc. optional). Makes a great, quick sandwich!

*** Do you have a clothes iron, if so, you now have a stove, it would be nice if you had a couple bricks to prop the iron upside down between, you can now use this to cook on.
Go to good will and get a small frying pan & Cover now you can fry scrambled eggs, make English muffin pizza, anything you would make on the stove
**** OKAY since you cannot heat in any way shape or form is there and Army surplus store in your area where you can get the meals that has the heating element (which is caused by a chemical reaction) already in them and they have cans of soup and coffee that you just pop and they heat up, just a suggestion

could you get a slow cooker, or an electric fry pan?
Slow cookers are totally safe and use about the same amount of energy as a lightbulb - they come in all sizes.
In a slow cooker you could cook any cut of meat, make a stew, or spaghetti sauce, bake some apples - lots of slow cooker recipes out there.
Personally, I would stick to fresh/raw foods - fruit, yogurt, nuts, breads, cheese, raw veggies etc.. and this would be good to offset your over processed university food?

Lucky you to have a microwave!!! When I was in college we used a coffee maker to do everything! I'm assuming that you're eating dorm food or somesuch and that its not appealing. Or maybe you're eating "cheap" and you're burned out. Here are some ideas:
1. Purchase some non-perishable items for your stash. These might include: tuna in water, hickory smoked spam or turkey spam (I kid you not!), baked beans, soup mixes, spices, rice, canned sweet corn, green beans, tomato sauce, velveeta cheese, crackers, grated parmesan cheese etc. Go to the Dollar Store if you're on that tight of a budget, but get some things in your room you can keep.
2. Once a week or so, purchase a premade frozen microwaveable dinner for something different.
Recipes:
Tuna Mac: Make microwaveable mac and cheese, add drained tuna and veges if desired.
Spam and Rice: Nuke rice mixes and add chopped spam. Season to taste.
Spanish rice: buy the mix and add canned tomatos. Top with parmesan cheese
Salmon Patties: mix canned salmon with crushed saltines, mayonaise, hot pepper sauce, and nuke to heat thru. Serve with canned green beans or salad and tarter sauce.
Baked beans with hot dogs or spam: heat up your baked beans with chopped weiners or spam.
The list goes on. Not fancy. Not even particularly gourmet or appealing. But....do-able.

The Republicans have been notoriously "in bed" with oil companies for generations. Literally. Both Bush, Sr. and Bush, Jr. come to mind... Oil interests own the Republican party to the point where the conservative Christian right (Bush, Jr.) is willing to make kissy faces with Saudis in order to protect their oil interests. Where else do you see this? (And, yet for some reason, their zombie followers cast a blind eye to this fact... Yet have a problem with/accuse the current President of being a Muslim). It's strange and confusing. But, it's a blatant example of deep corruption at their highest levels. This is not to say that the oil companies have no sway over the Dems, just less. The Dems publicly champion the downtrodden and, in small legislative movements, they actually do make progress in this direction in small babysteps. But, even THEIR highest levels have been influenced by big oil. With the Rep's, though, it's clear. They protect their own. They may be acting politicians but, a large group of them are either personally involved in oil interests as blatantly as Cheney and Bush were... or, they have very close friends in that industry who make sizable "campaign contributions."

Microwave chicken and rice
1 boneless skinless chicken breast(you can cube it for faster cooking)
1/4 c uncooked rice(not instant)
1/4can condensed cream of chicken soup
1/2c water
in a large microwave dish spread rice, place chicken on top, pour water and soup over top.
Cook on high 15 minutes
If you can have a toaster over I have tons of recipes for that.
you can also do chicken burritos by cooking cubed chicken in microwave with a small amount of water for 8 minutes, season, put on tortilla with cheese and salsa.

Do you think they would let you have a small George Forman grill? If so, just load up on spices and you can change up chicken and steaks or burgers to your liking!
