Mine are always dry. Am I overcooking them? I also buy in bulk & freeze them. Is that why they're dry?

My parents can tomatoes and are curious. They know its better to take them off, but can you leave them on after you boil them? They are planning on using them for chili tomatoes.

I prefer recipes that include chicken, vegetables, cheese, rice, or potatoes. (They don't have to include and are not limited to all of these) We also like Italian & Mexican, but prefer no meat except for chicken or turkey. If you have any ideas I would really appreciate it! I'm due with my second baby in a few weeks, just trying to make it easier on myself when the time comes :)

Never cooked lobster before, i've been told its best to buy the lobster fresh (alive) and then cook it in boiling water? Is there any other ways to kill a lobster so it feels the least pain?

I just read about grain salads instead of pasta-
3. Go for the Grain: Grain salads hold up better than pasta. Farro is the new thing: This ancient grain is hard to overcook, great at room temperature, and really good for you. Throw in a simple vinaigrette, some diced veggies, and a crumble of goat cheese or feta, then season with salt and pepper.

What are other grains salads-besides farro, and may I have your recipe? This sounds great!

for some reason, when i serve pasta, i end up with such a small window of time where its right. if i serve it too soon, it usually isnt cooked all the way through, and it dries real quickly. if i cook it too long, the pasta is soggy and it breaks apart really easily, and again it dries up really quickly.

part a: how can i tell when my pasta is cooked properly?

part b: how can i serve it so that it doesnt dry out so quickly?

I am the girl who usually goes grocery shopping and comes out with stuff like the following:
doritoes
beefaroni
hot dogs
cereal & milk
frozen dinners
diet soda
steak
canned soup

yeah... NOT healthy... I know......
Tonight I was inspired. I've gone through some healthy periods in my life and even done the weight watchers thing twice. I am a decent cook, but i lack interest and motivation, not skill..... I ADORE cooking shows above all....

So... here's what came home with me.... what would *YOU* do? Plz consider my past.....

Cannellini, Red, & Black Beans
FF Low Sod. Chk broth
LF Peanut Butter
Lite Itl. Dressing
Broccoli
Vidalia Onions
Cucumbers
Garlic
Celery
Baby Carrots
Plums
EV Olive Oil
Skless BNless Chk Breast

Also... tips on storing are welcome!
