That is rather judgemental ,...
Is it because,,, you just don't like it,,??
I can't see the rip off

I'm not quite understanding why it's a rip-off. If I tried to make it myself I'd be at $8+ dollars. It's nice for those lazy days when I need a snack or don't feel like cooking homemade dinner.

Now, now there!
Any convenience food cost more than making it from scratch. Do you ever go to a restaurant? It's nice to take a break, even if it's just a simplified meal.

It's a decent base to add other ingredients into...I make it more complete by adding cooked ground turkey, garlic, onion, & a can a stewed tomatoes ...
or another simple add in is a can of tuna & a can of mixed veggies..There are tons of other things to add to it for a quick, cheap meal.....For gosh sakes, if you buy it on sale it's all of $.33 !!

because people tend to be lazy when it comes to cooking, and the taste is ok, so since it is something easy to make people don't mind having to pay extra for the convenience.
