Mine would be Anthony Bourdain (sp?) and Tyler Florence. (he's sexy too) I really like them all except for Bobby Flay (a little too cocky for me) and Sandra Lee- I just can't get into watching her and Emeril ( a little too overrated and I heard his food in his restaurant sucks) Of course I love Paula Deen, Rachael's ok, and I like the dude from Good Eats, can't think of his name.

I've been eating Wheat for the past 2 years since I heard that it was less fatening then White. However, I've recently heard a Doctor on the View talking about Celiac disease and the harmful effects of wheat. He also claimed that Humans digestive tract is not evolved to handle wheat.
Is this true?If so,which is the healthiest bread to eat?

My dad, stepmom and lil brother are coming over to see my house for the first time. Ive never had my dad over for dinner so I want to show him I know how to cook. Its kinda my proving I am an adult dinner so to speak (im almost 23). Im a good cook so difficulty isnt to big of an issue. I want someing that looks like it takes some skill. Not spagetti or anything. I was think something like chicken florentine. I dunno. But it has to serve 5.

I've been looking around on cookinglight.com and some of the biscotti recipes don't have butter listed under the ingredients...however, when I go to other sites, all the biscotti recipes have butter in them. Does anyone know if not adding butter will still produce cookies with a nice flavor?

for ref, i'm looking at this recipe:

I'll be cooking for about 4-6 people for Easter and would like to make a tasty but not time-consuming meal for them. (I don't mind the prep time, but I don't want to be in the kitchen all day; I'd like to visit.) I really don't care for ham and I think that lamb will be pretty hard and would not be liked by everyone. (Please, no recipes for these unless you think they are different or extra yummy.) What other main courses would you suggest. Please provide the recipe if you have it.

My favorite burritoes come from the hole in the wall Mexican places in town, or even places like Chipotle. How do they make their rice and beans so delicious? I'm tired of using refried beans and grated cheese for my homemade burritoes!
Any recipes/ideas?

Maybe someone with experience baking Oatmeal Cookies can help me out, here.

I'm a fairly experienced baker, but every time I make oatmeal cookies (I've tried a few different recipes), the oatmeal remains too hard and "tough" inside the cookies. The rest of the cookie is just fine (texture, flavor), but the oatmeal stays dry and tough.

I've tried letting the oatmeal soak for a while in the "wet" ingredients, to soften it, but this doesn't seem to make a difference. Is there any other "trick" I can try to get cookies that are a bit easier to chew? FYI, I use regular, old-fasioned rolled-oats oatmeal, NOT the "quick" kind.

I am looking for a homemade strawberry cake recpie. I do NOT want there to be a BOX CAKE MIX as part of it. I need measurements to make the actual MIX part. IE- how much flour, how much sugar...ect. A link to the site would be great as well. This is for a birthday of a friend of mine and she HATES box cakes. Any help would be great! Thanks!
