KFC Original Fried Chicken


1 frying chicken, cut into frying pieces
1 1/2 cups flour
1 Pkt. (dry) Good Seasons Italian Dressing (THE 11 herbs and spices!)
1 Envelope Lipton (or other brand) Tomato Cup of Soup
2 eggs, well beaten
2/3 cup milk
Vegetable oil to cover bottom of your skillet; about 1/2 inch deep.

1. Combine eggs and milk. Set aside.
2. Combine flour with the Italian dressing and soup mix.
3. Dip chicken pieces in milk-egg mixture and roll them in the
flour-seasoning mixture. Repeat procedure.
4. Fry pieces over medium heat for 25 to 30 minutes, turning often.
5. Remove from fire. Drain and serve.

Kfc Fried Chicken:

25 min 15 min prep
6 servings

1 broiler-fryer chicken, cut up
3 cups water
1 tablespoon salt
1 teaspoon msg
2 teaspoons onion powder
2 (6 g) packages dry instant chicken broth (Do Not Use Canned)
2 teaspoons seasoning salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 cup flour

1. Cover chicken with mixture of water and salt. Chill in bowl for least 1 hour.
2. Combine herbs, onion powder, seasoned salt, instant chicken broth, and pepper in a blender and mix well.
3. Place this mixture in a bowl.
4. Add the flour to this bowl.
5. Mix flour and seasonings well.
6. Remove chicken from water, and dip it into the flour mixture coat well.
7. Place coated pieces on a plate for 5 minutes.
8. Pressure cook 10 psi 10 minutes Note: Find the Fines Herbs if you can.
9. It makes a great deal of difference.

Genuine Kfc Secret Recipe Chicken

KFC chicken recipe

8 servings 1¾ hours 15 min prep
Change to: servings US Metric

2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon thyme
1/2 teaspoon basil
1/2 teaspoon oregano
1 tablespoon celery salt
1 tablespoon black pepper
1 tablespoon dry mustard
4 tablespoons paprika
2 teaspoons garlic salt
1 teaspoon ground ginger
3 tablespoons msg (Accent)
6 eggs, beaten
2 cups breadcrumbs
2 chickens, cut up
oil, for basting

Mix all ingredients well in a large bowl.
Dip chicken pieces in beaten eggs.
Then turn them over in regular bread crumbs.
Finally plunge them in the flour-spices mixture.
Heat oven to 350 degrees.
Place chicken in a tray and cover with foil (shiny side out).
Cook 40 minutes.
Remove the foil then cook for another 40 minutes.
Baste lightly with oil 5 minutes before the end.
Let stand 5 minutes and serve.

wow - i don think anyone can answer it better than that !
I worked at a KFC at the mall near my house for 7 months and I never learned that much about their chicken haha
I knew though that the crunchy spicy chicken sandwich is only spicy 'cause we add the orange spicy mayo to it .

KFCs really tasty - but I turned vegetarian and I'm a health freak on a diet now.

According to Pamela Anderson and PETA, the chicken farmers beat their chickens mercilessly and bludgeon them to death. Maybe this makes them tender? :D

I did a search and of all the sites I found, this one recipe appeared multiple times. I found one that called for dry tomato soup mix... Er, no thank you.

Sorry, I wish I could tell you that it's tried and true, but I prefer just to go to KFC and buy it. Their chicken is perfect, and frying chicken at home is a pain!

You will know when you have the right answer when someone tells you that they pressure cook the chicken before the spices etc get added.

Did you know "Colonel Saunders" died protecting that recipe from a "coup" attempt by "Golden Skillet"?!!... Even if I knew, I'm not talkin'!!...........**arms self with drumstick, makes paranoid eyes**
