...what sort of cookies would you hope to find?

and would you want marzipan or preserved fruits?

OR: would you hope to receive instead a box of savory snacks like cheese sticks, poppy seed bread sticks, and crackers with herbs and spices?

I like to think about things like this and wonder what other people would like.

Peace & Love

We had thawed 5 pounds of pork spare ribs and was going to BBQ them, but a nasty little thunderstorm blew in and now I can't BBQ them

I thought about cutting them off of the rib bone and maybe putting them in a wok, but I am open to ANY suggestions.

Thanks!

My bar-b-que sauce

1-One can stale beer
2-one cube butter
3-one half white onion chopped fine
4-four cloves garlic chopped fine or pressed
5-one cup honey
6-One cup brown sugar
7.One or two cans tomato paste
8-Dash of salt, pepper, cayenne pepper, & Cumin powder
9-Splash of Worcestershire sauce, Soy sauce, Tobasco sauce
use more or less of the tabasco and cayenne to taste.
Add all ingredients and simmer (not boil) for 3/4 hour stirring occasionally.
Store in fridge till use; baste meat, ribs, chicken etc. both sides in the last few minutes of grilling or smoking

I want to become a better cook, but don't have time nor the budget to take cooking classes like the Culinary Inst in Pasadena. Also, I really don't have time to go to regular cooking classes. So I'm wondering if there are any restaurants or places where people can go and watch great or even master chefs prepare their magic live? I am interested in Northern Italian, Thai, Indian and Mandarin Chinese. Has anyone ever heard of anything like this available in LA? Thanks
