I have always baked my meatballs before putting them in the sauce in the crockpot, but i was wondering if there was a better way to get the sauce to really soak in the meat, other than slow cooking them.

Do you drain your Rotel tomatoes prior to adding to your queso or do you just open and pour?

Ok so i am out to make a banana bread and I have 2 questions.
First, the bananas i have aren't overly riped just yellow with a little brown on them. Someone once told me that for a good banana bread they should be completley brown. Is this true or should it be fine?
Second, the recipe calls for 1 stick of butter but i would rather use oil, what is the equivalent for this amount of butter in terms of cooking oil?? THANKS!

I would like to send my brother (Navy) some cookies, but I want them to be fresh when he gets them (takes one to two weeks). I have a great recipe, but the cookies are hard after one day, even if they are covered, it's just the way the recipe is... has anyone had success with a recipe that is still delicious when they get them overseas? Please, tried-and-true ones only....
thanks

Doesn't have to be strictly mushroom just one in which mushrooms is a major ingredient. And I prefer fresh mushrooms, not canned.
