I am making a recipe for turtle cheesecake that asks for vanilla wafer cookies. Which ones are they asking for? Are these the long wafer cookies that are usually available in 3 flavors (chocolate, vanilla & strawberry), or are these the round wafer cookies?

I ended up using the long ones, will the recipe still turn out?

There is a particular type of salsa (not what you find bottled as "salsa verde") that I see often in good taquerias. It is a green salsa, with a bit of spice, and an almost creamy consistency.

It looks somewhat like what you see in this picture:

Does anyone have a good (even if difficult) recipe for this type of salsa?

Does anyone know if it has a specific name?

Let's just say I eat alot of top ramen because it is cheap and fast. But what are some ways to make it taste better? Ingrediants to add, ways to cook, etc.?

I bought a pork roast and am planning on cooking it in the crock pot. I want to add a liptons onion soup mix to it and some potatoes. I am wondering how much water to add and how long to cook it for. Should I do it on high or low?

Second question: How should you store lettuce? Our lettuce seems to go bad before I can use it all, even though I use some everyday. Should it be kept in the bag you put it in at the store or in a ziplock bag? Thanks!!

A girlfriend of mine, and I are making dinner for our boyfriends tonight. Does anybody have an ideas for a fun recipe or meal? We are in college, so we don't want to have to buy a WHOLE lot on groceries, but we are willing to splurge a little, :-) ( Its also snowing outside so we probably don't want to grill, )
