I am making a recipe for turtle cheesecake that asks for vanilla wafer cookies. Which ones are they asking for? Are these the long wafer cookies that are usually available in 3 flavors (chocolate, vanilla & strawberry), or are these the round wafer cookies?

I ended up using the long ones, will the recipe still turn out?

The vanilla wafer cookes that your recipe called for are the little round ones. Sometimes sold as 'Nilla Wafers.

The long ones are sweeter and have a filling.

Your cheesecake will not be the same as a turtle cheesecake. It might work though. I've never tried using those long cookies in a cheesecake.

Let us know if it worked.

Vanilla wafers are the round ones, brand name NillaWafers. I don't know if the recipe will still work, it depends on what you are making. I don't think it will work because the long ones have the icing in the middle...

don't know if it will turn out or not....but vanilla wafers are the small rounds ones....Nabisco brand is called nilla wafers....actually I use the cheaper brand, usually in a bag in cookie section when I make banana pudding...
the ones you used are called sugar wafer cookies....yummy too....but never used them in a recipe....
unless you are feeding this to people who really know there cookies.....it will probably be a smash and everyone will want your recipe.....LOL
