Soy Wasabi Glazed Tuna
Makes 4 servings
Ingredients:
Tuna:
4-6 ounce fresh Ahi tuna steaks, about 3/4-inch thick
extra virgin olive oil
sea salt and freshly ground black pepper
Soy Wasabi Glaze:
8 tablespoons cold unsalted butter
3 green onions, thinly sliced
1-2 tablespoons fresh lime or lemon juice
3 tablespoons soy sauce
1-2 tablespoons prepared Wasabi
Preparation:
Tuna:
Brush tuna steaks on both sides with the olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
Heat a heavy, nonstick frying pan over high heat. Place the tuna in a very hot pan and sear until crispy and brown. Turn and sear the other side. Approximately 2 minutes per side. You don’t want to overcook the tuna, as it is best rare to medium rare.
Soy Wasabi Glaze:
Combine the butter, onion, lime juice, soy sauce and Wasabi in a small pan.
While the tuna is cooking, heat the butter mixture over low heat, stirring constantly until smooth and emulsified.
Serve the tuna immediately, covered with the sauce.

You mean you have never heard of the classic tuna and noodle casserole? If not, boil some noodles until they are just tender and not mushy. Add a can of cream of mushroom soup, diluted with a half can of milk. Add the tuna. Mix all ingredients together and put in casserole. I like to toss in a handfull of cubed or shredded cheese. Top with crushed potato chips or canned french-fried onions. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes. Bon Appetit!

Tuna, pasta and tomato. Quick, easy, cheap, warming and filling.
Chop & fry an onion and a clove (or two) of garlic in the olive oil from a tin of anchovies in a saucepan. You can add some chopped mushrooms if you like. Add a tin of chopped tomatoes, and some mixed dried herbs. Chop up the anchovies and add them. Drain the brine or springwater from a big tin of tuna in brine or springwater and add the tuna. Mix, but try not to break up the chunks of tuna too much. Simmer.
Boil some pasta in a big saucepan- I use the shell shapes as this is in keeping with the seafood theme. Add a splash of olive oil to stop it sticking. When the pasta is cooked, drain and return to the big pan. Add the sauce. Carefully mix again.
Serve, topped with some grated chese, with some garlic bread.

Good question, I also love tuna but I to lack some good receipes. For example it only stretches to tuna and cheese or tuna with salad cream or mayo. I went to Majorica a year ago and picked up at the airport the most delicious tuna sandwich. It appeared to have peppers in it however I was unable to read the spanish ingredients so I don't know how to make it.

SPICY TUNA STEAK
1 teaspoon coriander seeds
1 teaspoon mustard seeds
1 teaspoon lemon-pepper seasoning
Half teaspoon wasabi powder
Salt and pepper to taste
2 8-oz. tuna steaks
Sesame oil as needed
Grind the coriander and mustard seeds in a spice grinder and then combine with the lemon-pepper seasoning and wasabi powder. Brush the tuna steaks with sesame oil and then sprinkle with the seasoning mix and salt and pepper. Heat a non-stick skillet and then add some sesame oil. Make sure the skillet and oil are very hot. Add the tuna steaks and sear each side until desired doneness. This will vary with the thickness of the steak and how red you like it in the center. If the steak is thicker than a half-inch and you like it rare, you won’t need more than two minutes a side.
