Saw them making it on the news and was wondering how it was made. We have about 3-4 inches here and i figured my yard could spare some. :)

Hi. I'm a cheeseteakohoic, and love to make them at home. I'm also a cooking dum dum. I'm tying to quit using steak-ums, because they're just nasty. Can I get some sort of very thinly sliced steak at the deli, or will roast beef also work? Please pass on your tricks. Thanks!

I've defrosted some pork chops for tea tonight. My other half doesn't like pork much at the best of times and I always find chops end up a bit tough and chewy when grilled.

Anyone got any easy recipe ideas to work with - using usual store cupboard ingredients?

I grew up eating a dish my godmother called "Pasta Patata" (she's Italian). I've made it many times since but it never tastes as good as my Auntie's. It's made with bacon bits fried with onions added water, diced potatoes, macaroni, tomato paste Italian herbs and garlic. Does anyone out there have the proper recipe? It's real comfort food and excellent in this cold wintry weather.
