Saw them making it on the news and was wondering how it was made. We have about 3-4 inches here and i figured my yard could spare some. :)

Scoop up some snow into a bowl and add some flavoring of your choice. Watch out for the yellow snow! Also make sure you're getting snow that someone hasn't thrown a cigarette butt in. Mmmm, doesn't sound so good now, does it. :)

I saw on TV a nice recipe done from Paula Deen of the Food Network. I have not been able to find the recipe though?? I must not be using the correct wording somehow on the site. I can see how being that snow ice cream is snow ice cream lol but anyway...I would look their. Good luck on finding it. I think it was shaved ice or snow and sweetened condensed milk and vanilla. I actually think that was it but I am not sure of the amounts.

Try this...they do say something about replacing the milk/cream with sweetened condensed milk.

I've heard of snow ice cream from watching "Paula's Party" on Food Network. Paula Dean has some of the greatest looking recipes. I hope this helps you out. Enjoy the snow ice cream if you make it.

8 cups snow, or shaved ice
1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Place snow or shaved ice into a large bowl. Pour condensed milk over and add vanilla. Mix to combine. Serve immediately in bowls.

INGREDIENTS
1 gallon snow (clean, no footprints or dirt, etc)
1 cup white sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
2 cups milk
DIRECTIONS
When it starts to snow, place a large, clean bowl outside to collect the flakes. When full, stir in sugar and vanilla to taste, then stir in just enough milk for the desired consistency. Serve at once.

Start with CLEAN snow add 1/4 teaspoon vanilla add sugar usually 2 tablespoons mix then add eagle brand milk or plain milk approx. 5% of total snow. Continue to experiment until you find your favorite mix.

Oh yummy!

Take a big bowl of CLEAN snow (you knew that already),
Pour some good milk over it (or cream if you like it really rich),
Add sugar to taste, and a little vanilla and stir.

It is such a nice, fresh taste. I love it.

When I was a little girl we mixed in vanilla and cream and then placed it in the freezer until it started to form "slushy". It was so good.
