Maida flour is made from wheat. It is not only ground fine but also bleached that is why it is not good for health. Abroad they just call it flour which usually refers to white maida flour. Rest flours like corn flour, wheat flour is specified but when you say flour it usually refers to maida but if you are going to use it for baking cake it goes by the name of SELF RAISING FLOUR which has baking soda etc., mixed in maida flour. Hope this clarifies what you want.
