Tell me what your favorite home-made dinner is, what the ingredients are, and recipes or directions on how to prepare it.

I'm looking for quick, easy, healthy meals for two. Preferably meals that are easy to have ingredients on hand for any time.

I added the whole cloves of garlic to a pot of pinto and black turtle beans and after simmering for about 20 minutes the garlic started turning green from the inside out. Is this dangerous? I've never seen this happen before. Should I eat the beans or dump them out?

Think of it this way, if you could only have HOME-MADE cookies made from one recipe for the rest of your life, what recipe would it be?

Please post full recipe, nothing from a box.

If you don't like cookies, please don't answer.

I have 2 small children and I work full time. My fiance does not get off until 6:00 pm. Does anyone have dinner ideas for me?? I am cooking so late, we can;t afford to eat out all the time. I don't have the time or energy to flip through recipes in my books. What are some of the quick and easy (and cheap) things you eat during the week??

Every time I make a pitcher of smoothie with my blender, it comes out bad. They're grainy, rather than smooth and have no distinct taste. I want to know how to make a great smoothie. These're what I have to work with: a pitcher-sized blender, low-fat milk, flavored low-fat yogurt, kiwis, bananas, blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, crushed ice, apples, oranges, and honey.

Hello, we love to cook with fresh herbs all the time, we get them from the local grocer but the herbs only last a couple of days before they turn black and we have to throw them. Does any one has a technique you use to keep them fresh longer in the refrigerator?

In registering with the Kraft Food Meal Plan & recipe site - the site repeatedly refused to allow the meal plans/recipes to be viewed & would only display a messege that said "your bmi index is *** which is far too low - contact your health care provider....." however when the weight was changed to that of an obviously obese person immediate access was granted. (this wasn't for diet foods or diet plans - just regular meals) Does anyone else find this to be discrimination?? (it was most definitely offensive & hurtful)

My little sister is doing "How long does it take to boil water with different ingredients in it?" for her Science Fair Project! She is doing it with a friend who has a gas stove but we have an electric stove. They are using viniger, brown sugar, sugar, cinnamon sugar, and cinnamon.

Her Semi-Homemade show makes me laugh so much! Her recipes are so silly and funny. The other day I saw her making some dessert in which she took an entire apple pie, destroyed it, and then reassembled it with whipped cream! Then she's like, "Don't you just love semi-homemade - you can take one thing and turn it into something completely different!"

She also drinks sooooooo much. She makes a cocktail on every show. It seems like she rushes on all her food because she is just so excited for her cocktail time! Also everything has to match! If she is making a cranberry cocktail, her Tablescape has to be RED!

It is just sad that she has her own cooking show. On Food Network.com her food gets LOW ratings. Does not surprise me.

What are your thoughts on Sandra Lee?

I made veal parmigiana for dinner, and there is a ton left over. I am going away for the week so instead of throwing it out I want to freeze it for when I get back.

I finally got a mixer for my birthday (yeah, love it!!!) and my boyfriend got me the attachment pkg with the slicer/shredder, food grinder and pasta plates for Christmas. I also bought the sausage stuffer. Any really interesting things I can do with these? Any good pasta recipes? Sausage recipes, especially italian (lower fat if possible)? And no bashing the boyfriend for buying it - I REALLY wanted it so he did well! Thank you all so much!

Would it mean no store-bought breads, pre-made products, convenience foods, canned products at all? For instance, would a homemade meatloaf be made-from-scratch even if you use ketchup or barbeque sauce?
