I use a Misto oil sprayer with safflower oil quite a bit. I like frying in safflower oil due to it's high scorching temperature, and none of the canned sprays seem to match it (including PAM for grilling).

However, the canned sprays do create a much finer mist than any pump-type oil sprayer I have purchased. In comparison, my spray is 'globby'.

Is there a refillable oil sprayer that can produce a fine mist similar to the aerosols? It can be pump-type, trigger, or heck, I'll even take electric. Whatever would work.

I just recently started trying more recipes using ground turkey, and I've really come to like it. Would anyone like to share ground turkey recipes that they love? I have already gone to the recipe websites, but I was hoping for other people's tried and true experiences. Thanks in advance.

How do you maintain non-stick cookware. Here's the story:

I use non-stick cookware a lot w/ a safflower oil spray. When I buy it first, it works great, all smooth. Gradually, it gets this black gunk and gets bumpier. I have to use more oil. Eventually, I throw it out.

- I can't clean it using metal scouring (it's non-stick)
- Degreasing chemicals, like easy-off appear to destroy the non-stick surface as well.
- High temperatures from self-cleaning over destroy non-stick surface and make a flaky mess.
- Buying more expensive non-stick cookware doesn't appear to make any difference. The cheap wal-mart crap does the same thing as farberware.

i had a arguement with my boss. i told him that you can cut Raw fish, Raw poultry and Raw meats with the grain and if you cook it proper and cut it against the grain after being cooked it won't come out tough.

am i right or is my boss right that cutting RAW meats against the grain matters in the out come of the meat texture when cooked?

I love using my regular size Crockpot and would like to use my little dipper crock pot but have no clue what people cook in them. It's a small 16 ounce little dipper crock pot. Does anyone have one they use?? If so what are some recipes you make in them? I can't find websites that have recipes for this small crock pot. Any recipe ideas or websites would be appreciated. Thanks!

How did they season the salmon? What did they use to hold the salmon over the fire. When I was a kid our family used to go to a salmon bake at the Taholah Indian village out on the Washington coast. I would love to learn how to cook salmon like that! I remember it being the best fish I have ever eaten.
