I used to go to a restaurant that served a 24 oz portion, but that is huge.
Tastes aside, small women probably 6-8 oz big men 14-18.
Typical is 12.

Prime Rib is the beef sub-primal that rib eye steaks come from. It is located between the chuck and short loin sub-primals and consists of ribs 6 - 12. It is also called a standing rib roast, or a 109 roast. To cook it, I could cover it with salt and pepper, place it on a half sheet pan, ribs down, and cook at 450-500 for 30-45 minutes, then 325-350 until the internal temperature is 130F. Remove from oven, cover with foil and let rest 30-45 minutes.

Hi !!!
Here is a very helpful chart for you...
How Much to Buy?
The Food Guide Pyramid recommends, 2-3 servings of lean meat each day. How big is a serving? It's 3 ounces cooked, about the size of a deck of playing cards or the palm of your hand.
The amount of uncooked meat you’ll actually need per person depends on the cut.
Boneless meat (ground meat, stew meat, boneless roasts or chops)—1/4 to 1/3 pound per serving.
Bone-in meat (steaks, chops, chicken pieces)—1/3 to 1/2 pound per serving.
Bony meat (ribs)—3/4 to 1 pound per serving
Holiday Portions
Holiday portion sizes account for second helpings. You may adjust as needed.

The biggest I usually see in a restaurant is a 12 oz serving, so that should give you plenty.
