im trying to look all over the place to find out, but all i see are places to buy it. anyone know the taste/how firm it is or if it breaks apart easily once cooked? what it may be similar to?

it's a fish found over mud or sandy mud bottoms in coastal waters to about 60 m depth. It feeds on shrimps and fish. It's part of the croaker family and is called by other names like king weakfish and german salmon.

it's a bit like any whitefish in the way it cooks and tastes (halibut for example). there are lots of guyanese recipes around.
