I'm 16 years old and I want to go to college for Culinary and Fashion Design. I want to be an Accessories Designer and have my own Cosmetic, Fragrance and Handbag Line. And I want to be a Pastry Chef also. I only know how to bake, Cakes, Pies, Cookies, Brownies and Bars and Puddings and different kinds of Fruit Deserts. Can I still become a Pastry Chef?

Since I have no clue where to start, which one should I do first? I'm so confused. Also, What are some good ideas or books to check out at the library since I'm kind of a Beginner in Culinary. How much money will I make doing these two(I'm just curious to know) These are two jobs that I would really like to do.

Thanks

I bought a jar of pesto sauce that said I was supposed to use 2-4 tablespoons per pound of pasta. How am I supposed to make it stretch that far? Is jarred pesto sauce supposed to be added to a tomato sauce, or added to olive oil? The jar itself gives me no clue.

The sauce itself does seem rather concentrated. Anyone else make pesto from a jar who could assist?

Mine expired in 2004 ehe. I've read that expired leaveners can make baked good flat, however I'm wondering if it can adversely effect the body if ingested.

I have been making the Clabber Girl cornbread recipe (without the sugar) for years. Lately it has been crumbling in to pieces when it's cut. We don't like sweet cornbread - I haven't changed the recipe from the way I have always made it. Why does it do this? Does anyone have an easy recipe for non-sweet non-crumbly cornbread they would share? I cook it in an 8" skillet or make cornsticks - they're just as crumbly if not more so.

A while back, I found a website that listed ingredients like meats, vegetables, condiments, etc. You could click on the ingredients that you have on hand, and when finished, it would produce a recipe based on those selected ingredients. I don't remember how I found it before, but my searches are coming up empty now.
10 points for the first person who can give me the link. Thanks.
