Right, im gonna make just basic mince pies, i made them the other day. Do you know the best measurements to use.
I cant remember proply what i used the other day i think it was :
25g LARG
25g MARGARINE
200g FLOUR
this is just for the pastry.
Do them measurements look ok, for making 12 mince pies?

I just made the *best* pie crust with my Cruisinart Food Processor! I am so proud of myself! My new food processor is now my favorite appliance -- right next to the Kitchen Aide mixer.

What's your favorite must have??

I just baked a cake (yellow cake mix) in a bundt cake pan and i sprayed it with crisco before i poured it in there, but it is finished in the oven and it won't come out. I'm afraid that it is going to fall apart. Any suggestions?

I can't buy lmon tarts at the moment. Live in hull, U.K been to sainsbury's, teso, morrisons, waitrose, Asda, ect all the big shops as well as the local smaller shop Jackson ect and all they seem to have is Jam tarts and mixed ones made with apricot (no lemon).

My bother won't eat the Jam ones. Look's like I'm going to have to home cook them. any know a good recipe.

What I want to know though is, why I can't buy them at the moment. Talked to one shop worker and she said even the suppliers didn't have them.

Thanks for any help.

None of the recipes for rib roast say if it needs to be covered while cooking. I don't have a fancy roasting pan so I'm just using one of those tin foil ones with a cookie cooling rack in the bottom to serve as a rack?

I have 5 NY Strip steaks for Xmas Eve dinner tonight. Our outdoor grill is packed away for the winter so I thought about the George Forman grill instead of the broiler. Has anyone cooked any? If so, how did you prepare them? Also, what temperature? My grill has a temp setting. Hate to ruin these nice steaks.
