You have a bet with someone about raw egg in salad dressing? The oil won't cook it but the acid you add will, such as,lemon or vinegar

No, of course not. However different oils reach boiling point, and thus cooking point at differing temperatures. Olive oil is relatively low cooking point soc is suitable for frying eggs but not things that require higher temperatures like potatoes.

No! the other poster is correct. An acid will (such as a vinegar or citrus juice.)
