Ok I moved to Fort Brag NC and i'm mexican and puerto rican and i love to cook them dishes and i always have a hard time finding the products that sometimes i make my mom send me stuff in the mail from Chicago so i really need to find it locally so i don't waste money on shipping it here...

I've had onions, and they were pretty good. I've also heard of frying broccoli, zucchini, and mushrooms. Has anyone ever tried deep frying these? If so how were they? Also, anyone know of any other vegetables that taste good deep fried?

Does anyone know a recipe for baked desserts that can be enjoyed hot out of the oven? Most cookie/cake/brownies recipes that I have require the baked goods to cool before you can eat them, and I'm looking for something that can be eaten right away.

And I already know about allrecipes.com, google, and etc - I'm not lazy, just looking for personal advice, thanks.

I want a good crust on my chops. They are boneless. Can I roll them around in flour and then cook them in a skillet sprayed with canola oil? Do you have any ideas?
