well it is okay i like certain components to it i dont enjoy teh coconut to much it just seems liek u chew up teh fruit quickly and you are left w a mouth full of coconut hahahah

AMBROSIA SALAD

2 cans pineapple chunks, drained
2 cans mandarin oranges, drained
2 jars maraschino cherries, drained
1 can coconut flakes
1/2 bag mini marshmallows
4 oz. sour cream
16 oz. Cool Whip

Combine sour cream and Cool Whip. Fold in all other ingredients. Chill covered for at least 2 hours



even my picky kids eat this one...YUMMY

AMBROSIA SALAD:
1 (20 oz.) can pineapple chunks, drained
1 (11 oz.) can mandarin oranges, drained
1 (10 oz.) jar maraschino cherries, drained
1 cup flaked coconut
1/4 cup walnuts, chopped (optional)
1 (16 oz.) sour cream
Drain fruit and put into a large bowl. Mix in coconut and walnuts. Stir in sour cream. Chill in refrigerator.

This is a jello ambrosia salad:

AMBROSIA MOLD
1 (8 oz.) can crushed pineapple in juice, undrained
2 cups boiling hot water
1 package (8-serving size) orange flavor Jello
1 3/4 cups Cool Whip
1 (11 oz.) can mandarin orange segments, drained
1 1/2 cups miniature marshmallows
1/2 cup coconut
Drain pineapple, reserving liquid. Add cold water to liquid to measure 1 cup.
Stir boiling water into jello in large bowl until completely dissolved. Stir in measured liquid.
(1 cup) Refrigerate 1 1/4 hours or until slightly thickened.
Stir in cool whip with wire whisk until smooth. Refrigerate 10 minutes or until mixture will mound. Stir in oranges, pineapple, marshmallows and coconut. Spoon into 6-cup mold. Refrigerate 4 hours or until firm. Unmold and serve.

Yes I have you mix it is good I like it as a treat
What I do is put one small can of Mandarin oranges into a bowl along with a one small can of pineapple tid bits mix in some sour cream and miniature marshmallows and shredded coconut.

I especially like it at a picnic.. I don't make it home. But what I did like about it was the fruit and the nuts in there..a nice combination of something soft and hard at the same time..And those different colored mini marshmellows add to it also..I guess I like the different combo's going on in my mouth.

tropical fruit,pineapples, Mandarin oranges, grapes, maraschino cherries, broken walnuts, mini marshmallows, and shredded coconuts, mixed with cool whip and chilled. Yum. Yum!

Yes I've had it many times. My Granny used to make it. I like the fact that it has Cool whip in it, and I also like the little marshmallows

Yes, it is very popular at church suppers. I do not care for it, I am not a coconut lover.With out the coconut, creamy and fruity, I liked that.
