If so how do you prepare them for putting in the freezer? Do they seem to keep well ?

I would wash tomatoes, remove stem. Place in freezer bags with date...

Tomatoes can be frozen whole straight from the garden. Whole frozen tomato skins will break when added to cooked dishes and can be removed easily.

When I was growing up my grandma just put them in the freezer, but these days I would put them in a freezer bag.

just freeze them right off the vine no mess when you cook them skin comes right off so much easier
