Make a mixture like you would for a meatloaf. Then make it into patties and grill. Best of 2 worlds. Meatloaf/Burger on a bun with lots of sliced red onion, lettuce, tomatoes, dill pickles, a good spicy mustard and swiss cheese.

If you're using cheap mince use more flavouring, if you're using lean steak mince use less.
Its a matter of taste but to 1 lb mince I'd add;
Generous dash Worcester Sauce.
2 tabs frozen minced onion.
teaspoon english mustard.
pinch salt.
Dash black pepper.
1/2" garlic paste from the tube.

For Teriyaki Burgers;
1-2 tab Teriyaki.
1-2 tab oyster sauce
dash soy sauce.
Dash black pepper.
1 - 2 tab minced onion.
Teaspoon mustard.
1 drop orange oil.
2 drops lemon oil.
1/2" garlic paste

Mash all the ingrediants together wih clean hands, divide into 4 or 8 and shape.
Grill under medium heat 10 mins or bbq.

All I do is mix 85% lowfat ground beef with chopped dried onion flakes. Work quickly to shape into patties. One pound makes about 4 burgers.Grill them or pan fry them. Do not press down on them while they are cooking and they will be nice and juicy. Add a slice of cheese at the end and let it melt a bit for perfect cheeseburgers.

I prefer lamb-burgers.

Minced lamb, garlic, worcestershire sauce, an egg, some breadcrumbs (not too much), pepper, salt and a few finely chopped spring onions. Make them into paties after leaving in fridge for 30 mins minimum. Fry the basturts and feck them in a well fired roll from tescos, with a slice of cheese and some burger relish. AHHHHHHH!!!!!

The patiemix makes great meatballs too, dry with a salad, make some sauce (Ketchup, chili powder, mint sauce, sugar and vinegar).

Caesar Salad Beef Burgers on Garlic Crostini

Makes 4 servings

Ingredients:

Beef Burgers:

1-1/2 pounds ground beef
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
salt and pepper
4 romaine lettuce leaves
1/4 cup freshly shaved or grated Parmesan cheese
romaine lettuce leaves (optional)

Garlic Crostini:

8 slices sourdough bread (about 4 x 3 x 1/2-inch)
extra virgin olive oil
2 large cloves garlic, cut lengthwise into quarters

Preparation:

Combine ground beef, minced garlic, 1 teaspoon salt and 1/2 teaspoon pepper in large bowl, mixing lightly but thoroughly. Lightly shape into four 3/4-inch thick patties, shaping to fit the bread slices.

Place patties on grid over medium, ash-covered coals. Grill, uncovered, 13 to 15 minutes to medium (160°F) doneness, until not pink in center and juices show no pink color, turning occasionally.

Season with salt and pepper, as desired.

Meanwhile brush both sides of bread slices lightly with oil. Place bread around outer edge of grid. Grill a few minutes until lightly toasted, turning once.

Remove bread from grid; rub both sides of each slice with a garlic quarter.

Place one lettuce leaf on four of the crostini, top each with a burger. Sprinkle evenly with cheese, cover with remaining crostini.

Cut burgers in half, if desired, arrange on lettuce-lined platter, if desired

Cooking Note: Use a vegetable peeler to shave Parmesan cheese quickly.
