I'm afraid of most cooking appliances and stoves.. of things splashing, burning, etc. especially since we have a gas range I HATE that thing I can NOT turn it on..

What would be the best appliance for me to cook things like meat, chicken, beef, sausage, etc. also rice, vegetables, potato dishes, etc.

Any tips for me?

I know my fears are unreasonable.. but I can't help it.. please offer me COOKING tips not fear tips..

Should I get a cooktop, hot plate, an electric wok, an electric skillet, etc. etc. ?? which ones ??

Recipes I can cook easily without using things that scare me ?

THANKS! =)

Hi!

I'll be making sauteed (sp?) shrimp in a lemon-garlic sauce with cilantro - Russian style (it comes out very light, with a slight sour taste - almost like Peruvian Ceviche - but not spicy). I'll be serving it over white rice. This will be a romantic dinner for two but will need to be cooked very quickly. I also feel like I am going to need a salad to go with it - so any suggestions would be appreciated. My only limitations are celery (i hate the taste) and onion (because of its obvious romantic deterrant properties)

Whats a good wine to go with it - white preferably?

Thanks for you help in advance!

My husband cut up a chicken breast before he went to work this morning and then left it out on the worktop. It has been out for about 3 hours. If I cook it will it be safe to eat or should I throw it out? Thanks!

I'm a skinny kid, and now I avoid fastfood, not because I think I'm fat just because all that crap isnt good for your health, but I was wondering, here is what I get when I always go to Subway.

12" Turkey Breast Sub
Wheat Bread
American Cheese(4 triangle shaped cheeses)
Mustard

That's what I get normally, it is under the " 6 grams of fat or less" menu, but instead of getting the 6" one, I get the 12", and I was just wondering, is the sub with everything on it I posted above healthy for you and is it like fast food, like all the greasy things from KFC?

10 pts for one who answers both of these questions.

I am having a 'pamper party' tomorrow where some lovely ladies come round to my house and provide me and 5 of my girl friends with pamper treatments massage, facials etc.

I would like to serve some simple (preferably healthy) food, which is quick to prepare and easy (I don't have much time and I am a rubbish cook!) Any good suggestions?

I have been collecting coke cans for a couple of years, but I have a few problems because some of them would explode due to the humidity (I live in a tropical area in Asia) and I want to show it on display...I have thought of using a nail to take the soda out from the bottom of the can cuz I don't want to open the lid...so there any better way I can do it? Thnx a bunch!!!

Where is the best place to shop for gluten-free products? e.g. asda, sainsburys. Also, does anyone know of any packet or jar sauces which are gluten-free? Links would also be helpful. Thanks.
