What's Coke Light? Do you mean Diet Coke? If you're drinking pop without any sugar, I wouldn't get all up in arms.
However the aspartame in Diet Coke and other diet drinks has doctors worried about long term health problems. So, gradually cut back, or try Diet Rite, it has no aspartame.

Someone suggested quitting slowly, and that is probably the most effective approach. Go from drinking 3 a day to 2 a day. After a week or so, switch to 1 a day. Then slow it down to 2-3 a week, then 1 a week, until you are down to not drinking it at all.

When you have the craving for Coke, try drinking decaf iced coffee, fresh juice, or a soda like Root Beer that has no caffeine.

You are probably reaching for Coke each time you feel thirsty, which is increasing your Coke intake. Drink more water and your stomach won't have the room for the Coke, and you will find since you are more hydrated, you won't feel thirsty. For something sweet, fruit juice is the best.

Giving up anything is hard, but it can be done with patience and persistence.

If you want to stop drinking too much coke then just stop. I know it may sound hard but I have stopped drinking pop now for 3 years and I have lost a lot of weight. I can a day can lead up to 15 extra lbs. a year. Whenever you want a can drink some water, milk, juice instead. Good luck.

P.S. Light pop or diet is the worst kind for you.

I could suggest you trying the next exercise:
get a bottle of Coke Light and a mentos candle, bring the mentos candle to the bottle of Coke Light and wait for a 20 seconds. It looks pretty impressive

Or may be try to overdrink Coke so you would don't like it anymore

Really try to avoid Coke, tea and coffee. All that stuff is unhealthy. At present time I don't drink neither tea or coffee. Drink juices.

I sell Coke for a living, so i wouldn't tell you to ever stop!

However, no carbonated soft drinks(CSD's) are unhealthy in moderation.
(I am guessing you are from England or somewhere else overseas, since Diet Coke is Coke Light there.)

I would recommend that you drink plenty of water and milk to go along with the Coke products. Carb beverages can reduce bone density and calcium, due to the phosphorus in them. By balancing your soda addiction with milk and water, it helps return the minerals you lose from the sodas.

It is far better that you drink Coke Light than regular, since regular has so many calories.

i think you should ignore coke by giving time to tea or cofee but water is the most good one .In particular, it is feared that the water used to produce Coke may contain unhealthy levels of pesticides and other harmful chemicals .always be afraid of coke i also like it but what can i do?i also dont know just like you

Just stop doing it. Drink water instead. It's the best for you and if you give up soda and drink only water you will probably drop a few pounds.

You're body will thank you for this. Try it for just a month and see how great you feel after just drinking water. After a month drink 1 coke...I guarantee it will make you feel like crap. Soda is bad for you.

COKE IS HORRENDOUS FOR YOU!!!

i used to be a diet coke junkie. i UNDERSTAND the need for addiction. its hard to stop.

but the fact is, diet coke uses a sugar substitute called aspartame. it tricks the brain into thinking the soda is sweet--tahts why we think diet coke tastes sweet when its really only 0 calories. and the caffiene doesnt help either--we get addicted! at least i did

i would suggest trying to wean off of it--its going to be really hard..i havent drank diet coke in 4 weeks though...you should just try slowing off of it

if you want to lose weight-i know its a cliche but DRINK WATER!!! its the only thing that wont deplete your body of liquids--diet coke ACTUALLY dehydrates you

ever wonder why after you drink a diet coke your still thirsty? its because of its ingredients

this site may also clear things up about asparatame-
