I made some once and accidently put self raising flour in them, and they came out looking like huge scones in the shape of a bone.

Call me sad, but I like to get all my goods packed up before the cashier asks for change. I can do it at all supermarkets but the aldi - the staff must be on caffeine pills! Plus as they don't have a huge area behind the tills to pack the goods, you hold up the person behind :-(

Has anyone managed to bag up a basketfull of goods before they ask for the cash?

In answer to one of my questions, somebody commented that a vegetarian diet didn't do Linda McCartney much good.
Linda McCartney had a good life, she greatly enjoyed being a vegetarian, following her principles.
Cancer affects many people, it is not funny, and vegetarianism was never expected to make people live forever.

My mother bought me one of these, since I'm an amateur cook. I'm making steak tonight, and I want to pound it till it's thin. Which side do I pound with, the sharp edgey one or the smooth one.

It's STEAK!

I mean like a nice steak. I suddenly have this vision of the cow in the field. Or a nice boiled egg. Then I remember it came from the nether regions of a chicken. How can I stop tormenting myself.

I'm fixing to put on a pork loin, however I am going to sear it first. Should I cook it slowly covered or uncovered? No brown sugar, mustard or anything else, just plain old salt, pepper and garlic (my preference)
