everyone's right its because alcohol has a dehydrating effect on the body. so plenty of water before after during it essential. plus drink (to that point or maybe you just don't drink enough water anyway) is no good for your organs (particualry brain and liver) and it affect your sense of judgement. my dad was an alcoholic and it nearly killed him. i've also never heard of anyone recommending you mix asprin or any kind of medication with alcohol and i'm sure there's a reason why it also says so on the bottles....not one i'd recommend either
if you know you dont like drinking water probably your best bet is to stay away completely or limit yourself to certain occassions. ensure you maintain a healthy diet drink lots of water and exercise because anything in excess can can cause damage or kill you.

Drinking beer may quench your thirst but the Alcohol will dehydrate your body at the same time! Some people are more prone to dehydration problems, small and/or slim people are particularly prone, try drinking a pint of water or something else non-alcoholic but not caffiene containing, before you go out. Don't ignore the warning your body is trying to give you, dehydration can kill if ignored! If you feel drunk in any way don't reach for another beer! Get something non alcoholic down you instead!

Because u were dehydrated before u started drinking. Drink a glass of cold water before u start drinking. Drink a glass of water for every glass of beer/whatever, also take a asprin before u start drinking, this will help u get hydrated faster, that and the water. MY father is an alcoholic and he taught me that trick once I started drinking.

The chemical process your liver goes through to metabolize ethanol (booze) into sugars robs water out of your bloodstream. (Plus, while you're drinking alcoholic beverages you usually neglect to drink enough plain water to stay hydrated.) Thus you get dehydrated. You'll probably notice other signs of dehydration; dry mouth and dark urine. Drink water. Drink more water. Drink even more water.

alcohol is a diuretic, like caffeine, it flushes water from the body - not massively but sometimes just enough to give dry eyes or itching skin
