What is your favorite Birthday cake? My birthday is in a few days and I was just wondering what your favorite would be? Mine is devils food cake with dark chocolate icing....

My favorite birthday cake is definitely ice cream cake. I love Carvel, especially if you get the cake right from the Carvel store. Their chocolate crunchies are so good :)

Marble Cake is the best! It's pretty much a mix of vanilla/white cake and chocolate cake. With milk or dark chocolate frosting. Ahh, cake is so good :]

Chocolate sheet cake with my mom's home made icing.. she would make a huge batch and we would be having cake for breakfast for a while!It was made with Hershey's cocoa powder and the best part was the hint of cinnamon like nobody else could do. There is this bakery in Fredricksburg, TX in the hill country that make things that taste like heaven, too.

I like orange cake with orange icing that has cream cheese in it!
Burnt sugar cake with 7 minute icing was my favorite when I was a kid!

Chocolate Cherry Cake. It is like a brownie with cherries in it. The middle should be slightly underdone which along with the cherries makes the cake very moist. No frosting needed.

Chocolate with chocolate frosting. But not just any cake, it has to be one that my aunt makes. She was a professional baker for a while, and there is just something about her cake and icing, I could pick it out of a blind taste test.
Thanks for reminding me that I should write her and see if she'll part with her recipes. (She's getting way up in years, if you know what I mean.)
