Looking for a Thanksgiving recipe...?

This year my family is going to my Grandmother's house for Thanksgiving. She wants us to bring a dish in addition to what she's making. I overheard my Grandpa saying that he would love some of my wife's poontang pie. He must be confused because she has never made something called poontang pie before, but we don't want to disappoint pap-pap.
I need a recipe for poontang pie!

If I add fresh Sage leaves to my brine mixture will it have any effect to the taste of my turkey or would it..

I was watching J-Leno last night, and he was talking about a (Turduckin) A chicken stuffed inside a duck, stuf

fed inside a turkey. Is this true, and if so, if you then took the Turduckin, stuffed it inside a pig, inside a cow, pit roasted it for 12 hours, what would the new dish be called? And what would you serve on the side? Coin it for me.

using a toaster oven?

I do not have a stove or full size oven. I have a toaster oven, burner to cook things in, crockpot, microwave, george forman grill, etc..... Can you still roast things like a turkey or ham. My friend told me you can make a turkey breast in a toaster oven.

Cook ahead question for Thanksgiving...?

Well...making stuffing ahead--always do (no I don't stuff the bird).

Made creamed onions, will toast them up after turkey comes out.

Pecan pie...check....pumpkin pies....check.

Now I am wondering if I can do the corn pudding ahead...baked as well and simply heat through tomorrow.

Like most I have one oven (I now see why those double ovens were soo popular in the 60's and 70's) and with rolls, appetizers, etc I need to do as much as possible today.

What do you think? Corn pudding today or tomorrow?

What foods do you eat to comfort yourself?

When I am feeling stressed or bothered by negative thoughts I like to comfort myself with food. I know this can be an unhealthy practice. Does anyone have any suggestions for comfort foods that can be healthy or at least not as bad as fast food or candy bars? I know about meditating and taking deep breaths. I do those as well, but I still would like to comfort myself with food and work my way up to being comforted by deep breaths and not food.
