My fiance says we should make a longer engagement. Does this seem weird? Maybe he wants a long engagement so we have time to ourselves?

We've been sleeping together for weeks and I know that she feels the same way. We love each other so how can anyone say what we're doing is wrong?

Her name is poppy and she likes fruit pastilles.

I bought my dress, and I am in the process of losing weight, I know this sounds ambitious, but I want to know how many sizes a wedding gown can be altered down at most, so that I don't end up with needing a new dress!

I just found out that my future brother-in-law was married the same day that my fiance and I have chosen for our wedding date. Does etiquette or even common courtesy require that I change our date?

Right now, I just turned 21 years old, and my boyfriend is 21 as well. We have been together for 10 months, and already know that we will marry eachother sometime in the future. I am currently a junior in college, and will have to go to graduate school in 2 years, for an additional two years. (This is a little confusing, but to sum it up, I wont be done with school for another 4 years). Most people tell me that I should wait TO GET ENGAGED until I am completly done with school, but I dont think I can wait until I am 25!! Should we plan on getting engaged in 2 years? 3? aaaah. I need some EXPERT advice from people who really want to help a girl out.

By the way, I am talking about getting engaged to be married, not actually getting married. I figure once I get engaged, a year and a half later will be the wedding.

So should I get engaged after a graduate with a bachelors?

I need some really good advice.

So, I'm about to graduate from college and am trying to find a career. I've been to a lot of weddings, and been part of a bridal party before. For one wedding, I had to spend a bit of time working with the wedding planner to coordinate details for the reception and pull off a few of the 'big moments' that night. I love the idea of coordinating weddings and taking care of all those details that can get overwhelming for a bride. Any tips on how to get into this kind of industry?

I just want some opinions on this situation.. I am getting married in May. My father and I haven't spoken in about 7 years. I still have a good relationship with his father (my grandfather) even though he lives two states away and i haven't seen him in 10 years. He is 85 years old and I would like to invite him to the wedding but I don't want him to feel obligated to come since it would be hard on him to travel so far. Also, if he does come, I will feel obligated to spend all my time at the reception "cacthing up" and visiting. Even though I am angry at my father, I also don't want his feelings to be hurt when he finds out his father was invited and he wasn't. Any opinions or suggestions would be appreciated.

Basically, I am looking for a love song. It's for my mom. She wants a song that express mother-son relationship. Or just really emotional. She wants to sing it too, so a song in a capella and/or soprano.

Thanks.

I'm planning a 'destination' wedding to the Bahamas for May. My best friend is pregnant and won't be able to make a flight during May as a result. I was the maid of honor at her wedding. Since there isn't a whole lot of planning involved for my wedding and could be done at any time really, is it unfair to not wait until later in the year so that she can attend? Or is it OK to go ahead with it without her since I really don't want to put it off another 6 months? Also, I'm not sure I really want her there since she has a generally bad attitude about everything and I imagine she'll have plenty of comments about how her wedding was so much better. (I'm just not interested in the big church wedding and reception.)
