We are having a wedding at a bed and breakfast. Twenty of our friends and family will be staying there with us during the wedding weekend. Do we need to make plans for lunches and dinners on all 3 days for our guests?

My best friend who i have known all my life had an engagement party at the local working mans club recently, I was well excited as we hadnt had a proper boogie together for ages. She'd booked a mobile disco so i was expecting the usual line up, YMCA, Ooops upside yer head, Agadoo and a liitle bit of Come on Eileen to bring everybody together, how bloody wrong could I be? Turns out she'd requested all this modern stuff, no birdie song, no !0cc to round the night off?? Who the hell is this James Blunt fella?? It was not beautiful at all i had a crap night and didnt get up to dance once, just sat with my Campari and soda all night.

Is it worth me going to the wedding or will that be as crap too?

Hi, we're throwing a potluck wedding shower for my daughter at a hall. Do I actually put the word potluck on the invitation? This way everyone can bring their best dish and bring the recipe so she can start up a recipe collection.

I have paid for the dress and bargained shopped for $ 900.00 in other items used in the wedding including his wedding band! Then I put $100.00 in the wedding account. Ok it started out a Church wedding. This is my daughter I raised alone. My x -husband choose not to be in her life in any manner $ either. I was upset when the groom changed the wedding to the Beach, I told my daughter that I would adjust, Then Its a reception has turned into 1000.00s of dollars. I told them I would pay for the wedding which is about $300.00 more and I'm done. My daughter should know I spent my savings on all of this, and I live on disability. I have a lot of health problems that one may prevent me from going to the wedding, I have to have surgery 3 weeks before the wedding, unless I put it off. This is making me feel horrible but there is nothing I can do. I can't get a loan because I can't pay it back. Her father is a dead beat dad D>L> that has money and will not help. Any suggestions?

What are the best wedding colors? What day in november would be the best day for a wedding? When you dont have the money for a reception but have the money for a cake, chairs and tent, how would the festivities be planned out nicely with such limited resources?

I received a wedding invitation and I will be attending. The reply card reads as follows:

M_______________
will_____attend.

I understand the first line, but since I am attending, I assume I put nothing in the space between "will" and "attend." But then doesn't it seem like I'm not filling it out? Do I put a check mark or something?

I have a black wrap to go around it. Or I was thinking of wear black slacks with a nice black and white blouse.
It might rain but the wedding is inside. (Catholic wedding at 4 and reception at different location at 6)

Probably in US but somewhere else might be a consideration. Have thought about LV, Galena, Gatlenburg, beaches, riverboats, sentimental locales, etc. The helicopter ride in the Grand Canyon sounds cool but what the heck would I wear? Looking for something special, unique, different, memorable --- small and quaint --- but not bizarre.

I am getting married May of 2008 and my fiance is Catholic and wants a Catholic wedding.
He works Sunday mornings and we don't live where we want to get married (we'll be moving there and it's only an hour away).
What all needs to be done so that I will be confirmed and how long does the process take?
Also, should we do the classes and should I be confirmed in the church that we will be married in or one where we live?

I am a professional (manufacturing/export) who works in a managerial cadre. Personally I think that non-working girl would be a better option because she would take good care of me.I am not so greedy about money so to say.But a lot of friends of mine advise me to marry a working girl.By the way, I am living in Bangalore.

Been with her for 4 years now, we own a house together and it's about time I made an honest woman of her. She's 25 and I'm 29. I need a romantic, yet cool and original way of doing this.

my gf said i had to ask her dad for permission to marry her and im probably going to have to do it this weekend (and i know neither him or me are looking forward to the conversation; we get along but i dont like doing stuff like this and hes not all that emotional either). how do you go about broaching the subject? do you just kinda say "so, how would you feel about me marrying your daughter?" or do you have to have a big long speech? if any guys are in this category what did you do?

Hi.
I am getting married on the 28th July this year.
I have my wedding dress, my fiancee has his suit, and we have bought our childrens out fits.
We have hired a venue and are having a reception and evening party, people have said we should only have one but I really want both, as we are getting married at 11:30 am (This was the only time they could give us so it cant be changed) and we are getting married in a registry office, so not everyone can come to the service due to it being a small place.
The food has to be done by the the venue people, and so does the dj, which is the venue rules. We are opting for buffets to keep costs down.
I need help with other low costs. The decorations, flowers, cake etc etc (Im not very creative at all ha).
Any tips, ideas etc would be more than grately appreciated, as I am starting to get worried about how we are going to afford it now.

Thanks Niki from uk
