My wife and I got married in November at the France pavillion in Epcot at the Walt Disney World resort. It was really a great experience. Most of the wedding planning and services were provided by Disney, including floral, the music, the catering for both receptions, etc. The wedding planners were very thorough and attentive to our needs and suggestions. We were able to customize the menu for our reception and we provided a sketch of what we wanted our wedding cake to look like, and the Disney pastry chefs exceeded our expectations with their design. We opted to host a second, dessert reception at night on the day of our wedding. We had it at the lower UK pavillion at Epcot, during Illuminations, the firework show in the World Showcase. It was a really cool way to end the day. In all, it was a great experience.

My wife and I also enjoyed a few perks with getting married at Disney. We found out that, on the wedding night they would provide us with a free night in a suite at the resort of our choice. We got to stay in one of the Garden Suites at the Boardwalk, which was very luxurious. And several months before the wedding, our wedding planner sent us both annual passes to the parks as kind of a Thank You gift for having our wedding with Disney. It was totally unexpected.

By having our wedding in Epcot, we had to make it an early morning wedding, at 9am, before the park opened to guests. This meant having to get up early, going backstage, etc. But it was nice because we had a lunch reception and the rest of the day to celebrate, be with friends, etc. The problem with having a wedding at the castle, for example, aside from the high price, is that the wedding has to be done at night, after the guests have left. And they only have certain days during the year that you can get married in Magic Kingdom. If you're really interested, be sure to contact them and they will provide alot of information that will be helpful in planning.

Good luck!

I have attended one wedding at The Walt Disney World Resort and it was breathtaking. It was held at Disney World's Wedding Pavilion - the small, chapel-like building located between The Polynesian and The Grand Floridian. This couple went all out - complete with the white horse and carriage to take the bride and groom away after the ceremony (which can cost $5,000 alone). The window at the head of the chapel has Cinderella's Castle perfectly centered and the bride and groom stand on either side - it was a photographer's dream.

I've also seen other Disney weddings from a far - on a grassy hill outside the Polynesian Resort, in front of the castle after the park had closed (that costs big bucks though)...

Disney's Wedding Pavilion is not the only location where couples can exchange vows. Disney's Yacht Club Resort, Sea Breeze Point at Disney's Boardwalk, and pretty much anywhere else on Disney property is open and made available for wedding parties. I was the matron of honor at my sisters wedding at the Wedding Pavilion at Walt Disney World in Orlando. It was BEAUTIFUL!!! She was married in September, so still a little warm in FL. The chapel is suited for smaller weddings, I'd say less than 100 people.

They really took care of absolutely everything, so I only had to make sure my sister was happy and ready to go the day of the wedding. The chapel itself is beautiful. It is surrounded by water. It is all white inside and they will decorate it with your color scheme and flower choice for your wedding. There is a great view of Cinderellas Castle as you look at the altar. They normally have the location blocked off so guests cannot just walk up to your wedding! To the left of the Pavilion is the Grand Floridian, but no matter where you go outside of the chapel, there are great photo opportunities all over!! All of the ceremony music can be played through their sound system, plus they have this massive organ that is available for your wedding too!!

They have wedding planners there, on site at Franks (like the wedding planners name on Father of the Bride). They try to make everything as simple as possible, especially if you have a destination wedding.

Her reception was at the Grand Floridian. The food was fantastic and the ballroom was breath-taking!! Her cake topper was the Mickey and Minnie bride and groom. Her cake was from Disney and had little Mickey's all over it. It was beautiful and delicious!

She opted for the carriage ride after the wedding which also made for beautiful pictures! I just saw a wedding the other weekend where the bride and groom hired Cinderella's Carriage. It was sooo cute. The carriage had 6 miniature ponies with the Crystal carriage, and the footmen dressed like the footmen in the movie.

I can't even begin to tell you all the perks you get for getting married there, but if you are thinking about it, I would do it!!

I haven't attended or had a Disney Fairy Tale Wedding, but I've seen a few shows about them and seen the Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings DVD and they look so wonderful! I've been to Walt Disney World a few times. My boyfriend are trying to go every summer, now. We stay at Disney's Polynesian Resort. This past August I saw two people get wed outside of the Resort. I forget what the exact name of the location is, but it's just a point between two of the beaches, and it gives a gorgeous view of Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa (to the left), the Magic Kingdom and Cinderella Castle (straight ahead), and Disney's Contemporary Resort (to the right) across the Seven Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake. It was a small, intimate wedding, but it was lovely, and it was a perfect day. Anyway, around Disney's Polynesian Resort and Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is a walkway connecting the two, and it's constructed of stone tiles with the names of couples who've been married or celebrated anniversaries at the Walt Disney World Resort. I really want to have mine and my boyfriend's on a stone tile in that walkway someday. I would really love to get married at Walt Disney World! It's been a dream of mine since the first time I went, in 1997 when I was eleven. I'd like to either be wed at Cinderella Castle, Disney's Wedding Pavilion, or just at Disney's Polynesian Resort. And then we'd just stay there for our honeymoon.

When I went to Walt Disney World this past August I bought the Minnie Mouse Princess Bride Ears, and everyone thought I just got married. Everyone was saying "congratulations" and the Cast Members gave us some extra special treatment. lol I felt awful having to explain, "oh, no! I just love the bride ears and HOPE to be married here someday!"
