does it make you mad when your friend picks an ugly dress for you to wear in her wedding and it costs $150, and you know you'll never EVER wear it again?? isn't it just SUCH a waste? :)

my friend is a very selfish, jealous person that only chose the hideous dress to ensure that she is the prettiest girl there. she has no reservations about telling her honest opinions about everything even if it would hurt my feelings. (which she does often) and i'm not saying that i'm going to go off and tell her it's ugly, i was just asking if this ticks other people off as much as it ticks me off....

It is a waste. As for you *friend*, she does not sound anyting like a friend. I would just tell her I am not wearing that and I would tell her what that what she was doing is mean.
...but..... If you do want to go to the wedding then wear the dress and then ask her if you could have the dress. Then sell it on ebay. (You can keep you *friend* and gain money)
Good luck!

Yes it does. You need a good seamstress to alter the dress for you after the wedding. More money spent, but you can probably get a nice dress out of it.

I think brides choose such ugly dresses to make themselves look better by comparison. I don't think anyone could find those dresses pretty.

I have walked in weddings with ugly dresses and I wore them without a fight. Its his or her day what they want goes. I have never worn a bridesmaids dress after the wedding.

Explain why you would want to be in this girl's wedding! You hate the dress. You don't like the price. And it sounds pretty much like you don't really like this girl. So why would you want to be in it? Why not tell her that you just can't budget it and you hope she understands and then step down.

Yeah that's super shady. I don't care what type of dresses my bridesmaid's wear, as long as it's appropiate for chuch and it's the color I want.
