My boyfriend's (have been in a relationship for 3 years) uncle is getting married next month so we will both be attending their wedding..I know his family very well..what would be the appropiate thing to wear to the wedding? I don't want to be overdressed or underdressed...just want advice with etiquette. Thank you!

I am now married and I was wondering how my rings are supposed to go on my hand. Is it wedding band and then engagement ring or engagement ring and then wedding band. I thought the engagement ring goes first then the wedding band because thats the order everything happened in but my mom who is a wedding photographer and sees this stuff all the time says the opposite and so did our officiant. Anyone know for sure?

My best friend is getting married in April. I'm not in the bridal party because her mother is the one planning the wedding (my friend has pretty much no input whatsoever so the bridesmaids and groomsmen are up to mom). When someone asked my friend who was going to plan the shower and the batchelorette party she pointed to me and said "my bestest friend in the world!". I'm honored that she wants me to be the one to plan both events but this is the Maid of Honor's job. What should I do?

My sister asked me and my other sister to be her maids of honor last night and i thought i showed my excitement i told her that we would be honored but today my mom called me and she called her upset and crying saying that her other bridesmaids were more excited than my sister and i and that i need to fix it. that was the first time i have ever been asked to do something like that what should my reaction have been? I emailed and called her and she won't respond. what should i do?

If I'm supposed to host the bridal shower for my best friend's wedding, should I ask the bride for a guest list or figure it out on my own and ask the family etc to help figure out the list (she's my college friend but we havent even lived in the same country for the past years so I dont know well enough on my own)

im getting married in october and my step daughter will be 2 at the time of the wedding. i was unsure if i should put her in my wedding or just get her a pretty dress due to the fact that she will be so young. my god daughter is going to be my flowergirl and she will be almost 4. i love my step daughter and we will all be taking pics together. i just didnt know if she was too young to be part of the bridal party. thanks for all your help.

Im getting married in july and am desperately looking for something to do for the hen party.I know i have asked a similar question before but ive still had no luck finding anywhere.
Most of my friends are students as im at uni, so value for money is important. My fiance is going to blackpool for under £50 per person and i am looking for somthing at that sort of price.
There will be 15-20 people going; aged 17(my sister) -40something, so i need somthing everyone will enjoy and just so you know I hate clubbing.
Im thinking Uk breaks would be best for travel costs. I live in Plymouth Devon.

I have been trying to plan my wedding, and my groom to be isnt really into it. He told me to tell him the day and time and he'll be there. Ive only been to a few weddings in my life, and I dont know what to do. I have booked the receptoin and ceremony site. It is being held in a restraunt place. Its going to be Sept 2006... I dont know where to go from here. My mom and I arent on the best of terms right now, long story, different posting. We do have two sons together, if that means anything. And we are in love. Just no one has offered to help me plan. His parents gave us $2000 to put towards the wedding. My mom isnt going to , due to the fact that she cant afford to. My dad passed away a little over 5 years ago. Its not the money I am looking for, more so someone to come with me to pick out things, as I havent the clue. We live in PA. my boyfriend and I engaged and we are planning our wedding for april 28th. my family is happy bc it is what i want and they know my boyfriend really loves me. On the other hand, my friends doesn't know him too well cuz, as long our relationship is long-distance, everytime he comes down here (to the Dominican Rep. ; hes from the states), we usually hang out ourselves. they aren't agree cuz as long my boyfriend (according to their opinions), is from scranton PA and they said thats a town, not a city, i will not have a good life. Not just that, but they asked me about his background which i consider good cuz hes graduate and working on an allied services company... the only problem is that hes still living @ his parents. but thats not a problem cuz his family will provide us an apartment. when i commented him about what they said, he felt bad and told me that he doesn't want nothing bad happening to me, but the best. I feel he loves me so much. i am too. what do you think abou this?

My fiance of a year and half told me since the new year that he wanted to date some other people because he wasn't sure now about us. While its reasonable that some one can change their mind about marriage, and i accept that. Why am i going through such an emotional melt down? I'm going to ask my girlfriend to marry me in the very near future. I've picked a ring that I know she'll like, an inscription for it, where I'm going to propose, in fact almost everything is sorted; apart from the fact that I don't know her ring size!

Now I asked her sister (and swore her to secrecy) and she said her ring size was 2C13/3, but how does that translate into a UK ring size?

Incidentally her sister lives in Malawi so that must be the measuring system they use in Malawi.

I'd be grateful to anyone who can translate 2C13/3 into a UK ring size!!!
