Where you get your dress from will depend on where you are - are you UK or US? If in the UK how about Monsoon they have some really lovely stuff. If you want to keep the wedding low key or low cost BHS do a good bridal range too...

Hi, well the best thing is to look in all your local wedding dress shops. and try on a few as a dress that might no look nice on the hanger it could look wonderful on. I kept trying on all the big flowing dresses but they did look nice but never made me feel like it was the dress for me, So i tried one on just for the sake of trying it and it was the dress it fit well and was perfect.
It all depends on how much you are wanting to spend also as the shop i went to didnt tell me how much it was till i actually chose the dress. But if its not a problem then im sure you will find one eventually.
My dress is an Amanda Wyatt dress called Charlize, you could maybe take a look at her website and see if there is any stockist in your town. I hope you find the dress you are wanting. Good Luck.

Hi! Congrads!:) I just got married this past August, lovely month. There are some really elegant ivory or pale colored simple flowing gowns (mermaid style would be really elegant to those ball gowns) at most bridal stores these days. I actually got a Japanese silk taffita dress from Davids Bridal in golden ivory that was not expensive. However, I would also really suggest going to an elegant small store that specializes in cocktail dresses. They always have pretty pale colored dresses that are beautiful alternative to the overdone normal wedding dresses. I highly recommend the store USA GROUP who specializes in providing affordable gowns for any occassion. Good luck!

This may sound crazy, but check Ebay. There are some great things there, especially from sellers with their online shop setup so you can browse everything they have. Good Luck!

The sales are on now so take advantage.

Go to department stores, or big shopping malls.
