I'm going to ask my girlfriend to marry me in the very near future. I've picked a ring that I know she'll like, an inscription for it, where I'm going to propose, in fact almost everything is sorted; apart from the fact that I don't know her ring size!
Now I asked her sister (and swore her to secrecy) and she said her ring size was 2C13/3, but how does that translate into a UK ring size?
Incidentally her sister lives in Malawi so that must be the measuring system they use in Malawi.
I'd be grateful to anyone who can translate 2C13/3 into a UK ring size!!!

dont have a clue.
but why not get a ring from her jewllery box and take it in to a place where they can get the ring size. or why not propose without a ring and both go into town on the weekend and let her choose it.
women love choosing their engagement rings and it'll make a nice weekend. go for a meal that same day and then have an early night with a bottle of wine

Sorry don't know the answer to that...here's a suggestion though. When I asked my now husband how he got my ring to fit so perfectly he said if I remembered one day when he was massaging my hands and he took my ring off to make fun of me and put it in his pinky. Well he memorized exactly where the ring fit on his pinky and went to the Jewerler and got him to help him figure out the size. Good luck and Congratulations!

Take all the information you have and go to a jeweller!
Tell the Jeweller that you have this ring size but its in a MALAWIAN metric system... im sure the jeweller will know the correct UK measurement!
(kinda like going to the shoe store and giving them a JAPANESE or AMERICAN shoe size... they always know the UK alternative!
Oh and congratulations on your (up and coming) engagement!

Oh that's lovely! Can't help you with the ring size but would strongly suggest you let her choose her own ring. She's gonna be wearing it for the rest of her life so you have to be certain it's the right one!
